Should I watch The Hunger Games?

I enjoyed the first two books in the Hunger Games triliogy, but I found the third book to be a travesty and a complete disappointment. After I finished it, I vowed to never watch the movies because of how terrible the last book is. For me, the author ruins the entire triliogy in the last book and makes me hate her.

Should I watch the first movie?
 
Yes; they did a good job adapting the book to film. If you enjoyed the first book then chances are you will probably enjoy the film as well.

I think I'll give it a try. Deep down I know I'll like, probably even love it.

My main concern is that I might enjoy the film too much. That it will be so good that I'll be sucked back into the fandom and start clamoring for the next film... then the next. I guess that could be a good thing if I was unaware of the third book. I just don't see how I could ever watch the third movie and not just be bitter through all 2 hours of it. It might be the only book I loathe. I think I only feel this way because I honestly thought book one/two were so perfect. I guess I've spited myself and the author long enough though. It's probably time to give it a watch.
 
I would say definitely watch the movie!!! It's the movie that made me want to read the books. And I agree about the third in the sense that it just dropped off too quickly - ended too abruptly. But I still think it's a great story.
 
I love the books and the first time I watched the movie I wasn't too excited. But now having re-watched it on dvd I think they did a fantastic job with it and it's defintely worth a watch if you enjoy the story 🙂
 
Yeah, you should. I really enjoyed it. I hadn't read the book, so maybe that had something to do with it. Regardless, I thought it was really entertaining and well-done.

Yes, you should definitely watch the movie! The movie actually gives me chills because of how well-done it is.

I absolutely despise the HG fandom, but I'm still a huge HG fan. 😛
