Should Justine Cooper have had more screen time?

Those that have watched Angel season three and four (first episode) might remember Justine Cooper. She was a ordinary woman that dedicated her life to slaying after the death of her twin sister. Holz finds her and trains her to hunt and kill vampires and he gets her to engineer his death so that Connor would attack Angel and cast him into the sea.
The last of Justine would be when Angel is fished out of the water and Wesley lets Justine go and gives her the chance to either be a slave or be free.
Of course Kate Lockley was originally going to be the character Holz trains but Elisabeth Rohm wasn't available so they created Justine Cooper instead.
I thought it might have been interesting if Justine continued to fight vampires but was no longer an enemy of Team Angel, she would on occasions offer her services to fight beside them.
Not saying her character is anything special but more could have been done with her character and she could have developed more.

I don't think so. It was a little odd (kind of like with Kate) that she was so abruptly phased out of the series, but I didn't mind. The only thing I really felt interesting about her was how her obsessive dedication to hunting vampires had totally consumed her life, to the point where she no longer had a life to really live. I liked Wesley's assessment of her towards the end of her run when she asks him what she's supposed to do now (I can't remember the specific wording) and he says simply: "Live your life", and how it's clear she has no idea how to do that.

I think she had enough screen time. I don't think she would ever help Angel and that she would consonantly try to kill him.

She was an interesting character in these episodes, but not that special to be longer in the series.

*glad, the actress who plays Kate wasn't available. I didn't like her character at all.

I'm still really mad that the actress playing Kate wasn't available. It would have made for a great continuity of the storyline with her. And they could have done more with Kate in s4. As for Justine, I think they did well only keeping her for about a season. She had already served her purpose and I liked her open ended arc.

I was annoyed at the time, but Kate in After the Fall was way cooler than the version Elizabeth Rohm played, imo. I thought the Kate dynamic was interesting, but she had absolutely no chemistry with Wes, Gunn, or Cordy which made her a difficult character to use. Compare he to Lilah, where she had palpable sparks or friction with pretty much everyone in the show...

As for Justine, I think they did well only keeping her for about a season. She had already served her purpose and I liked her open ended arc.

Even though Holtz was the one who manipulated her into her worst behavior, somehow I always felt sympathetic towards Holtz, yet not so much towards Justine.
