Should Oz have returned to Sunnydale one more time?

Is anyone else disappointed that Oz never came back one last time? Just to say hi or something? I know he probably stayed away cos he was scared of turning all wolfie when he met Willow. But I still wish he had returned. Atleast for the last episode, to fight with his old friends...
Just something I was thinking about...Would have been great if he had come back just once more. Maybe with his band, or a new band, to play at the Bronze...lol...
 
I heard he was meant to make a reappearance in S6, post Willow and Tara break up. Also he would of been in Angel S6 to "tame" Nina as so to speak.
 
I've always thought he should come back... especially after Tara's death/evil Willow... I missed Oz 🙁 lol...

And oh really about the "taming" Nina in Angel S6? I did not know that... that would have been fun!

Seth: No. It's funny because I get discussed on the internet and in the ether about that stuff and it's never official. There was a great rumor that went around at one point that they were doing a Halloween special and I was a rumor going to be on it, and this rumor lived and died on the internet. It never existed in reality. I had to call Joss [Whedon] and say, "Hey Joss, I had to call you because I'm hearing you guys are writing this stuff." He's like, "We're doing what?" He had no idea about it, but they had said that not only had I been approached, but the script was written and had to be rewritten because I couldn't do it, and then it came down that I didn't want to do it because there was infighting and then I was going to do it because they were going to pay me enough and then it was contractual for me to do it...it was like a whole big thing that never existed outside [of rumor]. That's why you can't believe a word you read. You really can't.

Yeah I didn't like the way they left the Oz situation in S4. He was such a great character. They definitely should have brought him back.
 
I had this whole plan after we met Nina that Angel would send her to find Oz (wherever he was) and she would come up to him after a concert or something and be like "Hi, you don't know me, but I was told you could help me control a problem I'v been having with unwanted hairgrowth around the full moon" and Oz would just be like "huh."

It would make for a cool spinoff though, while the BtVS gang are off finding slayers and training them, Oz could be helping werewolves live productive lives. Just a thought.
 
I remember hearing a spoiler that 'a close friend would save the day' on the season 6 finale and I was soooo sure it would be OZ but it turned out to be Xander which is cool but I really liked OZ and thought he shoulda came back atleast once......maybe we'll see a lil cameo in the movies.
 
That wasn't it nerd4hire. Well at least not what I heard. Some while back in the "Why We Fight" forum there was an article (well tiny interview) with Joss stating what would of happened in S6. It was the one that stated it would be post-apocalyptic as well. I dunno how trustworthy that is though, but that's where I heard it.
 
OK I think I found it:

Jeff Bell, executive producer of Angel, has already stated that Joss planned to bring Seth back in season five of for the role of Oz, and perhaps for season six. His return would make sense especially because of Nina, a werewolf that was introduced early in season five. Oz would have been a perfect guide in helping her learn how to control what was inside her, just as he did. After appearing in "Smile Time", however, Nina seems to have disappeared from the scene.

I hope that if they make another spinoff, that Oz will be in it. Even if just for half an episode! or for just a scene! Just to see how he is, and what he's doing now. I miss him!
 
i don't know... i like oz.. i thought he was fab. but i think that things were okay as they were.... i kinda like the way the show turned out! from beginning to end. :nibble6:
 
i would've loved to see Oz coming back. his character could've grow so much. (But with out him there was Tara andi love Tara) I even wrote a fan fic abouty Oz coming back see Writer's Den under Oz Return (I didnt like the stroy and stopped writing it)
