Sarah has some free time, sure she has family, sure she is her own expert in what do with her time, sure having free time doesn't mean you're not doing anything, sure it's none of our business lol, okay... now that I covered some of that...

Do you think Sarah should do something Buffy-related before moving to another commitment (entertainment-wise)?

I think even a comic con would be perfect!

Recently, William Shatner put out a documentary called "Captains" that he hosted, featuring Patrick Stewart and Kate Mulgrew as the later captains of the Enterprise. William Shatner has 216 acting credits of which one, Star Trek, became an iconic show and spawned several movies where he played the same character. His career started in 1951 and continues to this day, a span of 63 years, but he is best known for his four years on the last 79 of the 80 episodes of Star Trek.

Buffy could do the same thing and have the same exposure. It is understandable that she would want to be able to move on from Buffy, but there is less harm than you might think from embracing the series and moving on. It may well be the case that her outstanding contribution to popular culture would always remain Buffy. That's not a bad thing. SMG could readily embrace her old character and still move on. The big career winners on Buffy were Alyson Hannigan who became Michelle Flaherty and had a more famous tag line: "...one time at band camp...", followed by "How I Met Your Mother" and David Boreanaz went from BtVS to AtS to Bones without a break.

Definitely SMG should put in an appearance at Comic Con and introduce herself to some of the generation that may not have watched the show because they were too young but follow the series in the comics.

Only if she wants to. I will watch SMG in anything but I would love to see her do something Buffy related. Even if it's just a comic con appearance. They should do another Buffy reunion panel.

That would also be sweet :-)
Personally I think she should ease herself back into it and embrace the role and the new fans out there- a convention sounds good, or a Buffy panel.

I don't think she has an obligation to do it, but I think she'd get a lot of joy out of it- the ammount of love that would flow her way- she'd probably swoon a little.

(I remember when SMG met a fan who'd won a competion to meet her- it's on YouTube- and was taken aback by the extreme emotions; tears of happiness, admiration, what Buffy meant as a role-model, that sort of thing.)

SMG is rightly proud of being on Buffy, I think she should see why she should be pround. 🙂

Nah, I think it's enough that she's been so Buffy enthusiastic on Twitter. It has really made me look upon her in a whole new way.

I suppose her visiting a con would be nice (possibly overrunning it with crazed Buffy fans) but I think openly showing her appreciation and love for the show has been plenty.

🙂
