Should the Show Specific sites be censored?

He didn't know it was a qoute from the show at first. But then we explained that it is a qoute and he was still offended. He said that he did not remeber it being said. I could see how he was offended by it, but still he blew it way out of porporation.
 
I'm an active member of CoA and this is just rediculous... Now the memeber put ''Hail Hitler'' as his location which is actually a quote from the show... I think people shouldnt take everything so serious. Come on this website is about a quite funny TV-show. You should be able to take a quote like this as humor...

Well, everyone has a right to be offended, but if it's a quote from a tv show/book/movie, etc... and it's explained as such, then it stands. If it was okay enough to pass the FCC, then it's cool by me. 🙂

Tempest. Teacup. PC gone nuts. I am so tired of the "I'm offended" brigade, I think I'm gonna take up smoking, buy a handgun, and swear every other word just to make my point...

Seriously, though, I think modding should be to prevent abuse and derision aimed at a specific member, or by a specific member at someone else. As I understand it, that's the way we do it here. I don't think the situation you all are talking about at that other site would even hit the radar here...for sure it would be handled a lot more professionally!

And quite sudden, too! I mean, i was aware that the forums were going to be closed eventually. I'd been a member there for a long time, back when the old style posting board was up. Never really got used to the new one, if i'm honest, didn't have the right feel for CoA. But with the place staying so active it did seem like they would keep the boards up indefinately. Guess not!

Well, another Buffy/Angel site starting to wind down. So many fansites gradually shutting up shop or just not updating anymore. A real pity! Hopefully future Buffyverse projects will reignite the passion.
