Shouldnt There Be...

The closest thing I can think of to that would maybe be, whatever makes it snow in Amends.

BTW do you remember this little interchange from Conversations With Dead People?

HOLDEN
(stops) Oh, my God!

BUFFY
Oh, your God what?

HOLDEN
Oh, well, you know, not my God, because I defy him and all of his works, but"”Does he exist? Is there word on that, by the way?

BUFFY
Nothing solid.

Possibly the "Powers That Be" could have fit, until the final episodes of last season's Angel. Now you've gotta wonder.

And even if they were more good than evil or neutral, they always seemed more regional to LA than Sunnydale.

I'd actually thought of that, and I came to the conclusion that you can't really judge TPTB based on Jasmine alone, despite the fact that she's the only PTB to step out from "behind the scenes" on Angel. I also doubt that they're regional to L.A. They just happen to have a connection with someone there.

Yeah the Powers are quite an Enigma. They seem to make some kind of claim to be working towards the right and good, but you rarely see a lot of evidence of it (not since Doyle and the vision-power by my estimate).

Remember the Ratet from Long day's Journey? Weren't they supposed to have some kind of connection to the Powers. They were not "good" by the classical definition.

Also, they may not be regional, but they are Angelcentric. We've never seen them on Buffy. Unless of course, you reference Whistler from Becoming 2. Even so... I don't know.

I think, and Im probably totally wrong. But what about the First Slayer?
She seemed like a pretty good person, unless you count that one time, when she killed Willow, ripped out Xander's heart, cut Giles head open and tried to kill Buffy. Maybe she was just having a bad day!

No - remember, the First Slayer was created by the men we saw in "Get It Done" as a tool to fight the demons. I don't think she could be the First Good, especially since she was made out of demon energy (or whatever the heck that was). I'd agree with TPTB as being as close to the First Good as we've gotten.

But the first slayer was technically the first defense against the evil so she could be called the first good but then also TPTB can also be considered as a first good so in a way evil is out-weighed by good as good has the whole slayer line and the PTB
Hopefully that made sense lol

Yeah! DarkAura's right, they had to make the Slayer so she could fight the evil!

I'm just saying, the First Good is something that shouldn't have had to be made. Like the First Evil, wouldn't it have been there from the beginning of time, or whatever?

True but remeber what Giles said aboot ''As long as there has been evil there has been the slayer.''
Or maybe the first good had to be made

I dunno lol I'm just confussing myself now lol

Primitive wasnt made as such, she was given her powers. But now you mention it, the First Good probably should have been a 'dawn of time' dude!

I think I understand the "First Slayer" as "First Good" arguement". They're sayin it's the equivalent to Christian mythology, where you have the Satan, then Christ is put on earth as his opposition.

There's a problem with that. As This Year's Girl said earlier, the first slayer was created from demon energy by the Shadowmen who evolved into the Watchers. Not alot of goodness there.

Whatever the First Good is in the Buffyverse would probably be whatever was responsible for stuff like the snow in Amends, Whistler, possibly Joyce in Season 7, and the return of Angel when Buffy left the Claudagh ring in the mansion.
