So now they dropped the trailer and I still don't know how I feel about this. I don't know why they are making a sequel. But...

I don't know if I'll watch it. At least it's by the same writer as the first one, who also wrote and directed Wind River, one of my favorite films of this year. So the script might be solid. Visuals also seem pretty good. I think I would have preferred if they hadn't made a direct sequel but a film with different characters that follows similar themes.
Anyway, Sicario is my least favorite of Villeneuve's films. That nihilistic worldview doesn't really appeal to me in that film.

I didn't mind the first film. Don't think a second was needed though? Sequels always cheapen the origin movie and that depresses me.
