Signature Sizes

Did I miss something about the signature size being changed? I've seen a lot of people with bigger signatures. I thought the rules were 500 x 150??
 
Ohhh, ok. I've seen some big banners around lately, so I thought the rules had changed to allow bigger banners. Wanted to make sure before I created some big honkin' banner. LOL
 
Yes this puzzles me too as there still seems to be some big/odd shaped banners still being used and nobody seems to be questioning their use. Have some board members managed to obtain some kind of an exception from this rule?

I think that I might be the one responsible for this- I haven't seen banners signatures anywhere near the size of mine. In my defence I didn't realise there was a defined size limit and I've been experimenting with making some of my own banners. The results of which were mixed and also a little too big perhaps. 😳

I had no idea this was a sore point for anybody, only one person objected to my banners- everybody else seemed fine with my sizing. 🙂

In future I'll limit my banners to the standard size. I apologise to the mods for not fully understanding the rules and to anybody else who felt I was getting 'special treatment' or whatever. 😉

No need to apologize, thetopher. Mistakes happen, and that's why we tell people when their banner is too large.

The rules have not changed, but as Taake said some we might not see at first. Also, I often browse the boards on my work computer which has a low resolution, and everything looks large, so I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. If someone's banner is too big for a few days, it's not really a big deal.

But yes, Silverspike, your banner is too large.

You're the one who bumped the thread - doesn't mean it's the same people or same signatures. I would just say, let the staff worry about the banner sizes and if one is really crazy use the report post link.
