Silliest plot lines

What have you watched lately that just had a silly plot twist?

Kane blowing himself out the airlock in this show has to be right up there with one of the most unnecessary and ridiculous there is. Actually this whole season probably counts as a bad plot twist. Grr.
 
Speaking of The 100, I think it was silly how Clarke killed Bellamy because he was going to spread the information about Madi that he discovered from the book- but then Clarke leaves without the book so she basically killed Bellamy for no reason.

Yesssss sooooo silly! Especially cos they were all so sad when they thought he was dead the first time.
First of all, fun thread @Octavia ! I love talking about this kind of stuff.

The last thing I watched that made me roll my eyes was probably the bomb plot twist in Star Trek Discovery S1. I watched it last year, I believe.

The main characters are told to deliver this suspicious case from the Federation without looking inside and that it’s going to save the universe or something. Point is, they open it and realize it’s a bomb that is supposed to be put in the Klingon homeworld core so that it will activate all the volcanoes on the surface and basically genocide everyone on the planet.

If you haven’t seen the show by the way, the Federation are supposed to be the good guys of the universe. The Klingons were basically prodded into a war by the main character (who works for the Federation) killing their leader. So essentially the Federation was losing a war that IT started and decided that murdering a metric buttload of people was an ok thing to do because “the greater good”. Oh, and the person they got to lead this mission and make sure it happens is a KNOWN evil doppelgänger from a parallel dimension.

Then the end of the show wants to be all like “yay good guys!” Like…huh?????
 
Every second of Wonder Woman 1984.

Except Lynda Carter having a cameo in the credits, I guess. It's a real shame because the first Wonder Woman film is mostly good.
 
"The Fly." You have a matter transporter in 1956/1986 that works on the Quantum level, and can bypass Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, that can fully compensate for your microbiome, the hamburger you had for lunch, any intestinal worms, but it still can't screen for insects? And when it replaces your head with that of a fly, it what, kept most of your brain? It's an extremely haunting set of films that are excellent, but the underlying idea is so stupid.

Voyager: Somehow, the Episode where The Rock layeth the SmackDown on Seven of Nine is not the silliest episode of the series.
