Similarities and Differences in Amends and Season 7

I wonder if one can find clues to what's happening in Season 7 by looking at what happened in Amends. Here are some similarities and differences between Amends and season 7.


1. Both Buffy in season 7 and Angel in Amends are plagued by dreams.

2. Both Buffy and Angel have recently come back from the dead. You could say the same of a souled Spike.

3. In Amends the FE wants Angel to kill Buffy. In Season 7 the FE wants Buffy alive (to begin with at least)

4. In Amends the FE doesn't want Angel to die. It only wants to corrupt him. In Season 7 the FE doesn't want Spike to die. It wants to corrupt him. (The FE doesn't appear to want Buffy to die either. Does that mean it plans to corrupt her too)

5. Both Buffy and Angel wonder why they've been brought back.

6. In both Amends and Season 7 Buffy is dealing with a romantic split with a souled vampire, yet lingering feelings of affection

7. In both Amends and Season 7 a vampire with a soul is being mentally tortured by feelings of guilt over past wrongs.

8. Both Amends and Season 7 have Christmas scenes.

9. Runelike symbols appear throughout both Amends and Season 7.

The following doesn't really apply here, but it's an interesting quote from Amends, so I thought I'd add it. Buffy is speaking to Angel as Angel stands on the cliff waiting for the sun to rise;

Buffy: You're weak. Everybody is. Everybody fails. Maybe this evil did bring you back, but if it did, it's because it needs you. And that means that you can hurt it.

Good quote. Since we are comparing Buffy and Angel because they were both brought back to life, the FE didn't bring Buffy back; Willow, Xander, and Anya (Tara too) did. They brought Buffy back because they needed her. Does that mean she can hurt them?

I think maybe the First and W&H are related, because they seem to have taken over the Firsts job off bringing Angel(us) to the other side and they have both been there forever! But anyway, do you think the First would mind if Angel killed himself, because this would do a tremendous (sp?) amount of psycological damage to Buffy and maybe it was planning that all along!

8) Its because the FE is Santa Clause!!

the FE didn't bring Buffy back; Willow, Xander, and Anya (Tara too) did.

Actually there's no real evidence as yet that the FE brought Angel back either. As I recall Angel is just worried the FE was what brought him back. It's kind of like Buffy worrying she came back wrong.

There is also Faith that is the slayer 😉 Unless he mentions Buffy by name we all know it could be Faith or even someone else!

Faith isn't in the basement with Spike when the FE delivers the line. It is speaking spefically about Buffy, and why doesn't the Turok-Han finish Buffy off in the factory?

Dunno, why does it keep going after her if it doesnt want her dead? 😛 I wont spoil but umh

And youre assuming now, youre not basing it on any hard facts. And still if the FE dont name her, its not certain its her.

This is an enormous brick Tudor style home. Spike's walking into the basement, followed by Buffy.

SPIKE
Down here. (Buffy hesitates at the top of the stairs) You won't come down? I understand. It's a risky proposition.

SPIKE-2
(blocking Spike's way) There's an order. The slayer's not in order. But it can't hurt to play. Get your claws in the mouse, you know?"

still what does that reveal except that she isnt in order?
Well I dont have the mind power to argue anything right now 😉 I will be back with valid arguements as soon as I wake up tomorrow.
