I found this funny:

WENN reports Simon Cowell had the honor of meeting Sarah Michelle Gellar recently, but the American Idol judge failed to recognize her. "We were talking and I honestly hadn't got a clue who she was," Simon admitted. "She was saying how much she loves American Idol and how she was a fan of mine. Then she asked me to sign an autograph for her. I had to say, 'Sorry, what was your name?' and someone else who was standing with us said, 'That's Sarah Michelle Gellar' I said, 'Who?' and they said 'She plays Buffy!' I said, 'Sorry, you've lost me.' They had to explain to me who she was."

I don't see what the big deal is. OK, Simon is a big jerk, but the best thing that Sarah can do is laugh it off with a sense of humor. Seriously, it's a mistake to take the fame thing too seriously...

im sorry but even my grandmother knows what buffy is, how do you miss knowing about the existence of a quintessencial, cult program that captured the minds of a generation? i mean fair enough SMG who? cause like i dont know half the real names of other tv stars but come on!

Simon Cowell is english and he is a record producer and he was on Pop Idol in the uk he made Will Young and Gareth Gates huge other here

and i still think its amusing 😀

I just can't get over the fact that he didn't know who she is. How stupid must you have to be not to recognise one of the most famous television personalities?
 
Are you people joking?? Not everyone watches Buffy the Vampire Slayer....he didn't know who she was, big deal....
 
Simon Cowell is a nasty b****rd with no brain! How could he not know who SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR is. I know a 3 year old who knows who Sarah Michelle Gellar is! That's how stupid it is!

i didn't know who Simon Cowell before reading this thread but, in the word of showbuisness, everybody knows everybody !! And Sarah is really popular...
So strange !! And funny. Poor Sarah, she was probably surprised !!
 
Im sorry but not everyone in has to know who she is she aint royalty...im sorry but she aint...quite alot of people in the Uk dont know hu she is only a few of my mates know who she is and wot programme she is on...but i i know hu she is! isnt that gud

Well, not EVERYONE. I still can't believe that Simon Cowell hasn't heard of SMG! He compares singers to figures in pop culture, but he doesn't know SMG?!
 
ok just because he didn't know who she was doens't make him a b****rd. He just might not watch he show or her movies. Though it is kinda of strange that he's never heard of her, it not really a big deal...
