This is a fan fiction that I wrote a few days ago... There will be a sequal to it though... So that's why it's such a strange ending. :hihi:

Summary: What if Willow actually got to do the love spell in Lover's Walk, but it turned out terribley wrong?
The Red placed out all her stuff around in a circle, Spike had got all the necessary stuff faster than he thought he would. It turned out that he had a dude that owed him a favour, and have not only bought him the stuff, but also brought them to him. Spike sometimes couldn't believe how the heavens were with him.
Spike then watched with interest what the witch did next. She cast a circle with him and herself in it, by invoking the elements and her Goddess. Golden sparks waved around them and Spike couldn't help feeling a bit of respect for the witch. Sure, casting a circle wasn't hard, but this circle was... powerful, his demon could feel it.
'She would make an interesting vampire.' Spike thought for a second, but quickly dismissed the idea. She was a friend of the Slayer, turning her would be the last thing he would do in his undead life. He mentally shook his head and then turned his attention back to the witch.
"Aphrodite! Mighty goddess of love and desire, I'm calling thee! Join us!"
Then a white light went through the Red's body, and Spike's eyes went wide in shock. Did what he think just happen... happen? Next thing he knew he heard Red speaking something that sounded like Old Greek, and he felt fear for her... She had a great deal of power.
The golden sparks lit up the otherwise dark factory, they became like fireballs instead of golden sparks. Spike then noticed something hover out from his chest... Something very... misty. It was red with something that looked like, small pieces of gold in sand size. Spike knew he was hallucinating... It had to be that bloody incense that where flying around the room, filling the room with a pleasant smell of jasmine and roses.
Then something happened that scared Spike: a huge wind came in, circling around Willow's and Spike's circle and then the charms Red had put around, forming the circles started glowing. What the hell had Spike started?
Suddenly he saw the red misty thing disappear into thin air, after giving a way a huge light that blinded Spike for a few seconds. After it had disappeared Spike looked at the charms, they were fading. The windstorm was gone and finally, when the charms had faded he glared at the Red witch. Who for a moment seemed to be in heaven, right before she collapsed.
Spike ran to her side and picked her up, and put her on the bed next to Xander. He looked around the place and he wondered if he should get going or wait and see if the spell had taken effect. The last thing that Spike had heard was that Dru was in L.A so she would be here in an hour or two if the spell had worked properly.
'And it bloody should have.' Spike thought annoyed. 'After scaring me half to death... And those effects things with the magic were pretty cool.'
From Spike's little knowledge of magic, there was never a big show and no effect. So the spell should have bloody worked. He grew inpatient.
. . .
Willow woke up half an hour later, seeing Spike walk from one side of the room to the other, waiting for something. Willow barely had the strength to move. She had had the very essence of Aphrodite in her, she could feel it, and it had taken all her energy. She was in total bliss from the feeling; she could feel the goddess's power flow through her veins. But there was something on her mind that worried her, she had BEEN Aphrodite for a few moments, sensing her thoughts, and Aphrodite had something other in mind with that spell... She had been... amused. And it worried her.
She quickly pushed her thoughts away as she felt Spike's eyes on her. She looked at him, feeling like she had spinach between her teeth or something, making her very uncomfortable.
"What?" Willow questioned, looking at Spike who then jumped a bit in surprise to hear that she was awake. He had probably thought she was sleeping since she had barely moved an inch.
"Nothing..." Spike said and mentally waved away the idea.
Then there wasn't anything said and there was an uncomfortable pause. Willow stared at Spike and Spike started at Willow, suddenly both realizing what they were doing they looked away from each other. Just then Willow saw that Xander were moving, coming awake, finally.
Willow moved closer to Xander and put his head in her lap, touching his face and whispering his name, asking if he was okay. Then suddenly, Spike felt a huge wave of jealousy, he didn't know if it was because he wanted Dru to get there so they could have some touching or if it was... no no... there was NO way that was it! The second thought in Spike's mind was that he maybe wanted to switch place with Xander right there. But he was crazy, he loved DRU, so he couldn't possibly be attracted to another girl, especially not the Slayer's best friend! Spike sighed; he needed to get out of this town, fast.
Willow smiled as she noticed Xander was waking up, thanking her lucky star that she had a human to talk to (even though she had decided that talking to Spike weren't so bad either). She heard Xander whisper something but she couldn't make out what. It sounded like 'Let me sleep a little bit longer' but Willow wasn't sure. Right then, Xander opened his eyes and were faced with the sight of Willow. He smiled.
"Hey Wills..." He said softly, realizing at once that all the attracted tension between them were gone, Willow shined up as she realized it as well. "Did you do that spell of yours?" Willow smiled wider, she knew that it still wasn't completely in Xander's mind that she was a powerful (well powerful and powerful... she had held the goddess's essence in her) Wiccan. And besides, she was still learning so she had no idea where that kind of response came from.
"I haven't yet Xander... I did Spike's though." Xander's eyes went black as she had mentioned Spike's name. She knew that he didn't like him... or any vampire for that matter. Personally, she liked Angel more than Spike...
"Spike's...." Xander said rather softly but with a voice filled with disgust for the vampire.
"Don't worry Xander..." Willow said softly. "Go back to sleep..." She softly caressed Xander's forehead and cheek, making him going in and out of sleep, determined not to leave Willow alone again with the blonde vampire...
"No..." He said sleepy as his eyes started slowly to drift into sleep.
"Sleep now Xander... Don't you worry... I'll still be here when you wake up." Willow kissed Xander's forehead sisterly as he was asleep again. She looked at the peaceful face, sleeping in her lap and she felt angry. Why did Spike really involve Xander in any of this? He wanted her to do a spell for him.... But Xander had nothing to do with it. Willow felt her anger coming through and bravery she didn't know she possessed came forth and she turned her head to Spike and looked at him.
"Can you please just let us go now? We have done your bloody spell now." Willow closed her mouth again as soon as she realized what she had said; she was starting to talk like SPIKE! What in the world.... She just sighed in her head and just looked at Spike, awaiting a reply.
Spike looked at how loving Willow treated Xander, making him go back to sleep. It reminded him of his mother and how he used to hold him when he had trouble sleeping.... well bloody hell, he didn't want to think about it. But then again, there was something within these simple signs of affection that triggered something in him. He felt guilty. And when he heard Willow ask for him to realize them he couldn't do anything but sigh and say okay.
As he said it was alright Willow lit up in a smile and she felt like hugging the vampire, she for some reason didn't hold any anger for the vampire anymore.
'Love makes us do silly things' Willow reasoned simply. She said thank you to Spike and she thought she had seen a little smile on his face but it was so short that she was sure she had just imagined.
They were let out, Spike actually being kind enough to carry Xander, after a few pleading looks from Willow. Spike thought he had acted all weird ever since he had seen that simple sign of affection between the annoying dark haired and the Red witch. So weird he started to think that maybe the witch's spell backfired and gave him a bleeding soul or some ****. But he dismissed that.
A few meters away from Xander's house Spike laid down Xander on the grass and he said his goodbye to Willow:
"I've got a special vamp lady to meet." He said cheerfully and disappeared in the dark. Willow couldn't help but smile.
The End.
