Singing in the Shower

I have been known to belt out Lou Reed's "Perfect Day" in the shower - thank the gods for the sound-deadening power of running water...

Usually the "Wish I Could Be" song from The Little Mermaid because it is the only song I know all the words.

At the moment im constantly singing Good luck by Basement Jaxx such a catchy tune...also i humm the tune to Satisfaction by Benni Benassi cant really sing that song as its very repetative...or bring me to life by Evanescence

Or as GlitterySparkle said Milkshake by Kelis also a very catchy song

other than that im more of a bath person so it doesnt quite have the same effect...but i do sing in the rain 🙂

I didn't think a lot of people would actually reply to this thread...

My fave shower songs at the moment:

- "Lang quen chieu thu" Lam Truong
- "All You Wanted" Michelle Branch
- "Everywhere" Michelle Branch
- "Goodbye to You" Michelle Branch
- "Promises" Adema
- "My Last Breath" Evanescence
- "Suga Suga" Frankie J and Baby Bash
- "Think Twice" Eve 6

That's all I can think of right now and as Mr. Pointy said, thank goodness for the sound-deadening power of running water!

If singin in the shower was a sport in the olympics i would be a gold medelist by now. i sing n e thing that i know, evan stuff i write.

You sure that's the shower you're singing in? 🙂

Damn this English fondness for toilet humour! 😉

I know it sounds daft (but hey, some people have got Top 5 Shower Tunes), when I was about 8, I sat in the bath one day and started singing about the Matey Bubble Bath on the side and everything else in the bathroom - it was great. I sing my own songs in the shower nowdays and my sister.... when she's on the toilet (must be something to do with the pressure) she sings really bad songs louder!!! Thats daft... I've got a good question... why do we sing in the bathroom anyway? Is it something to do with a good echo... you know good acoustics!?

Yup - it's the echo/reverb/acoustics thing. Everyone sounds a better singer in the bath/shower even if they aren't very good...

Plus the bathroom is a great place for singing because you sound better because of the echo, if you suck, no one will hear you, and you get to let loose that singing impulse within the safety of your own bathroom 😀.
