I'm not sure if thats how you spell his name I had no clue. Anyway, in the episode "Helpless" Craylic sires one of the council's workers, but the series is forever saying "the vampire has to drink deep of your blood and and you have to do the same to them to be turned" but the council member never drinks craylic's blood, how did he turn. I've seen it a lot during the series, I cant name the episodes all of by heart, but I'm sure I have seen the same deal before.
Has anyone else noticed this?? :baby:

we never see the vamp drtink from Kralik, but it doesn't mean that he didn't, it might have been off camera.
as far as i can tell, a vamp has to drink just enough blood, then the victim has to drink from the vamp. if the vamp drinks too much blood, then the victim won't turn.
also, if they don't drink enough, the victim won't turn either.
'buffy vs. dracula'
dracula slices his wrist open and holds it out to buffy, blood dripping.
Buffy: if i drink that...?
dracula: i have not drunk enough from you for you to turn

It does seem like a delicate balance between how much the vampire can drink before the person can be turned into a vampire, or before they are totally beyond...and dead.

After thinking about what was said, I remember that when the newly made vamp arises, he must cut Kralik out with the axe. I don't remember any exposed flesh that the council member could've drank from. Kralik was still in the straightjacket, right? So, that is a fishy part of the episode. So, I wonder, just exactly what happened.

I'll have to go back and watch it to see exactly. But I think my memory is correct.

Despite what Buffy says in the first episode ("They have to suck your blood, etc."), only once do we see a vampire made that way (at least in Buffy, I haven't seen enough of Angel to know) and that's in "Becoming Part 2" when Darla brings Angel across.

In most things written about making another vampire, the person has to be drainned to tge point of death, which fits in with the delicate balance.
