Yeah I buy all my cards through ebay, but I occasionally will buy a bulk lot from someone which will have a few incomplete sets.
Surely there are many, many people around with boxes of incomplete sets. I guess there are dedicated forums for trading these cards, I'm just having a tough time finding any that are still active. I've found several webrings, but they are either "having a break" or they list barely any cards.
Same as comics. I think this forum would be a great place for trading. Perhaps not a buy / sell forum straight up, as you'd invariably get the minority who'd just come here to hock stuff. If you made it a swap forum, you probably wouldn't attract those people, but you'd provide a place for current members to expand their other Whedony obsessions :lmao:
If it proved successful, you could see how a buy/sell forum would go, and possibly even get sponsorship money from online comic / card shops who wish to advertise on the forum, making it much easier to pay the forum cost each year.
Either that, or just let me know where there's already a place like that ..... 🙂
