I was told to watch it, but didn't cuz I didn't think I would like it, but I saw it there and decided to give it a go, It's bloody brilliant. Good characters, storylines and really funny.

Is it a spin off of Shameless or just by the same guy, is it connected to it at all? I've never seen shameless is that any good?
 
That was so funny! I looked down for 2 seconds, heard a dud and looked up and the baby was on the floor, lol.

I love Sid and Cassie, both are awesome characters! I love how each ep concintrates on a specific character!
 
I haven't seen Skins but the first two seasons of Shameless were quite brilliant. Frank Gallagher is a genius creation. He's that old codger in the pub who starts to tell you his life story, you tell him to shut the fvck up and he pretends he didn't hear you and just continues. Ultimately, you know you're doomed. You can leave or you can buy him a drink(what he's actually angling for) and it will shut him up for five minutes. Though once you've bought the first he clings on for dear life. That's Frank, an unbelievable pain in the ass to be on the recieving end, but hilariously funny to watch other people wriggle on the hook.

Mostly the cast is unknows, But the kid from About a Boy is in it, except he's now 17!

No, its still good, just not as good.
I found series one of Shameless in Work today so I took it home, It's cool I prefere Skins but its good.
 
I think skins is awesome. I wasn't expecting it to be funny, the way they advertised it didnt make me think that way, but i think its humour is the best part about it. I don't rate alot of the acting...but what can you do. It entertains.

I really disliked Skins when I saw it. I found it very patronising. "Oh we're teenagers so all we care about is sex and drugs and we never have any real problems that aren't because of, or about, sex and drugs."

May give it another go because there is such buzz but hmm, seems rubbish.
 
Hey, Xandman, maybe you and the 23 other teenagers that identified with your outrage should rise up and protest against Skin for its wrongful and malicious portrayal of teenage life in the UK.

I sort of agree. The promos make it look like it's nothing but an hour of partying and sex...which sounds like a waste of an hour to me.
 
I like it. I didn't think I would. I love Sid. I think he's the best character out of them all.
 
I watched the first episode, and half of the second. It's a bit unrealistic, an exaggerated version of teenagers. I do like the nutty blonde girl that doesn't eat.
 
OK, so, I gave in and watched it. I only planned on watching one episode but now I'm on episode six, I had to go and download the rest of them last night. This show is hilarious. I still think it's beyond unrealistic (yet so many people say it's realistic) but it's fun to watch.

Cassie, the anorexic, is my favorite character. I also love Tony the sociopath. Because, hey, he's a sociopath.

When is the second season supposed to start?
