Skipping episodes

As much as I can't stand episodes like Teacher's Pet and I Robot You Jane I grim and bear em, it doesn't feel right skipping any episodes. There is 144 episodes, so you have to watch them all in my eyes.

I caved... I totally just caved and skipped an ep for the first time. I feel horrible about it...

I'm on S5 of ANGEL in my Buffyverse rewatch and I skipped The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco...

I just really wanted to watch Lineage! I love that episode. 😛

I only finally got the boxset of BtVS last Xmas and have never skipped an episode mainly because it was the first time I had watched them in order and the first time I had watched Buffy in about 10 years so I wanted to watch them all. But if I go back I will probably stay away from S1 for awhile because I watched that one twice and The Body just because it was so awkward and uncomfortable to watch. It is an absolute masterpiece of an episode and one of the greatest ever on TV (not just BtVS) but it really creeped me out and made me quite uncomfortable. Apart from that though I have no real problems with any episodes. 😀

Sometimes, I skip an entire season (Season 3) because I've re-watched those episodes over and over. I could basically recite them for you!

This is such a great thread... I am also guilty of having skipped episodes. I used to skip Bad Eggs and Ted - Bad Eggs just wasn't one of those episodes I just HAD to watch, and John Ritter terrifies me.

Now, however, my OCD has amped up and I have to watch every episode in order, doesn't matter if I've watched it recently or too many times. You never know when you might find something that you didn't see before.

I'm rewatching Buffy recently. I finished Season 4 yesterday.
I would never skip any episodes, because when I watched the whole series from the beginning to the end for the first time, I skipped a few episodes.
I watched it online and I couldn't find some in the net.
When I was finished I searched for the skipped episodes and watched them afterwards. But I was really confused sometimes. 😕

But now I have all seasons on DVD (well, 5 and 7 sould arrive with the mail soon🙂) and I see no reason why I should skip any of the eps.
The whole thing is like one giant movie and nearly every episode adds to the story.
And those that don't are still pretty amusing.

I think, like so many others, I tend to skip "The Body". Mainly because it is TOO good. I think the writing and performances in that episode are absolutely perfect. It really is a tour-de-force for the who BtVS team, not just the actors and writers, but the sound guys and the sets as well. However, it is so good at doing what it wants to do, hit you with an emotional sledgehammer, that I find it too painful to watch. I always watch it when sitting with someone going through the series for the first time, but if it is just me I skip.

I haven't done a full re-watch yet. I only watch when its on tv(Chiller and Logo). I end up missing episodes here and there and I kind of hate it. I would rather not miss any Buffy episodes.....

Maybe Beer Bad, cause nothing happens. -_-

Why is that? 😀 That's one of my favorite S1 episodes xD

I'm gonna guess it's comic related 🙂 Seems to have feeings flared right now.

I agree, one of my favorite s1 eps too. I might even watch it tonight 🙂

Several of the episodes in season 6 are to hard to watch for me. I enjoyed the season at the time, but I don't really need to see a lot of those a second time.

I actually don't really skip any episodes when I'm doing a rewatch but if I did it'd be "Superstar", I really really dislike that episode. I try not to skip any episodes but when it comes to "Superstar" sometimes I only end up watching half, that episode is torture for me, it's sooo boring and pointless.
