I think it was mainly because most of the Slayers probably felt betrayed by what Buffy did towards the end of Season 8.

I think it was more so cuz she started having sex with the person they thought of as Twilight, knowing nothing about Angel and the history there.

From the Slayers perspective, Buffy LITERALLY slept with the enemy. They knew nothing of the history between Buffy and Angel, all they knew was that Angel was Twilight and the one responsible for the war they found themselves in the middle of, he was responsible for causing the deaths of their friends and sisters.
From Kennedy's POV, this was Buffy once again choosing a vampire over her and the rest of the Potentials/Slayers, only this time, Kennedy had her own power and she could take that power and do what she wanted with it.

It wasn't so much that the Slayers no longer had magic after Season 8 as it was, they no longer had anything resembling a chain of command. Buffy had pretty much just walked away from the job, leaving no recognizable successor. We see in "Angel And Faith" that there is still at least one team of Slayers in London, and undoubtedly there are other groups around the world, still doing their jobs as well as they can, but, with no one coordinating the various groups, no Slayer Central, no Mama Slayer, they're totally on their own.
