Buffy! She managed to survive 7 years of it. Well, kind of... she died... twice... But still, Buffy saved the world hundreds of times and never really gave up hope.

Faith probabaly would have died (and not have come back) within 2 years living like Buffy did. She's just more... hardcore-y.

You can't say Fray is the toughest. If Fray were in tv, that would be a whole different story. You haven't seen Fray fight against Buffy or any of the other slayers. So you couldn't judge a comic book character up against tv characters.

Of course you can. Fight forecasting against fighters who haven't met the same opponents is done all the time. Joss himself has said Buffy would kick Blade's butt (wanna link?). I think the problem is, being 12 you haven't been in the same bars I have. 🙂 You should see how hot people get debating "Who would win; Ali or Tyson?". Those 2 fighters didn't fight any of the same opponents when those fighter were in their prime.

Now as far as Fray vampires being lame compared to Buffy Vamps, I beg to differ. Icarus would kick Spike or Angel's butts, one at a time or both together. (Again 🙂 )

I'm the lone vote for Vi. 🙁 MMKAY. 🙁 Do I have to explain? LoL. I voted for Vi because there was such a transformation from potential to Slayer. I'm not dissing Fray or Faith, but they were both bad ass before becoming Slayers. I think they both could have, and probably did, kicked some major butt before becoming the Chosen One. Vi seemed to grasp the power she was given and take full control over it. I know we never saw much of her as a Slayer, only small 3 second battle scenes, but she was rockin the battle field. (again not dissing anyone's choices) Lets look at what we saw in the final battle. I mean, what we were actually able to view. We didn't see everything. From the choices above, what we did see was that Buffy was stabbed and nearly died. Faith was swarmed by ubervampires and was down for a few minutes. Amanda died. Kennedy got punched twice. Vi didn't even let them hit her once. (speaking from what we saw) Even when Faith and Buffy had the Scythe, they were still beat and they had years of experience. Vi had 10 minutes of experience and a small crappy knife. She seemed to powerful when she was confronted.

I dunno. there's my vote.

nerd4hire: thanks for spoiling the ending of the comics for me. im only on #6 🙁 lol

Gosh sorry about that. I sometimes forget there's a lot of people who haven't gotten to Fray yet, and don't want to be spoiled. I'm going back to post spoiler tags right now.

In way of recompense though, I'll tell you I also love Vi. I love when she gets the power, snarls, and says "these guys are dust".

I don't mind. Really. I like being spoiled anyway.

There's a few Slayers that I've read about in Tales of the Slayer (comics and books), but none that I would really care to pin against the others on your list.

Oh, and today they showed the episode Touched on our re-runs channel. I noticed something I hadn't noticed before. The potentials are in a fight in a darkened basement. If you watch closely you'll notice Vi is starting to get her warrior mojo going in that episode, so it wasn't just slayer power. She was coming out of her shell, possibly in reaction to adversity. That's hero stuff.

Re:

Most definately Buffy. There were times when she was not always at her best, but she overcame them. When she lacked in physical strength she compensated for it in wit and strategy. She saw her mom die, killed her first love to save the world, died twice, played mom to Dawn, and was blown off by her father. Meanwhile she conquered many big bads and saved the world....alot. Sure she asked for help from the scoobies. She knew thats what she had to do to get the job done.
