[Chasing Cordy]

I was wondering if somebody could point me in the direction of a place that could offer a history of the slayers. Something that could list their names and dates of service as well as their birthdays dates of death.
Is there something like that anywhere?

So the people that made the first slayer would become the watcher's council?

Yes, kind of, but not necessarily exactly like that. It comes from the bit in End of Days when Buffy meets The Guardian (you know that old women underneath the pyramid thing outside the cemetery).

Buffy tells her about meeting The Shadowmen (those shamans who created the first slayer), and tells She (that's the name of The Guardian) she didn't like them much.

SHE
Yes. Then you know. And they became
the Watchers. And the Watchers
watched the Slayers. But we were
watching them.

It's important to remember The Shadowmen and the creation of The Slayer go back thousands of years. We have no idea how far back the guardians go, but from She's dress, and the fact she's probably not the first guardian, a long, long time would be a good guess.

So is She talking about a specific event in time when The Shadowmen decided to become The Watchers, or an evolution over time. My best guess would be the latter.
