Slayer vs Spock

(I'm not sure if this actually belongs in the "Multiple Characters" thread or not, but I couldn't think of anywhere else that it would fit)

Andrew's story in Season 7 concerning Faith's past just got me to wondering (I obviously have way too much free time on my hands) in a fight between Faith and "Star Trek's" Mr Spock, who do you think would win? Keep in mind that, unlike Andrew's fantasy Vulcan, Spock is stronger and faster, with considerably more endurance that a normal human, though probably not quite as strong as a Slayer.He is a master of the Vulcan martial art of "T'al Sheyah" which combines strength with a precise knowledge of human anatomy, enhanced with a rudimentary telepathic ability and would allow him to not only anticipate the Slayer's moves, but might even allow him to misdirect her into doing the wrong thing at a critical moment. In short, the real Vulcan would be quite a greater challenge than Andrew's fantasy one was.

As fond of Faith as I am, I have been a fan of the pointy eared guy for far longer, and I have seen what he can do in a fight. The only time that he was ever beaten was when he was in a critically weakened condition, with little or no emotional control, and facing Kirk, Scott, Sulu, and McCoy, who eventually stunned him with a phaser. Get out the butter, folks, cause Faith would be toast.

You know in Steven Seagal movies where a guy throws 15 punches in 3 seconds at him and they are all blocked? Now imagine both people constantly punching and blocking until their arms fall off. That's your fight right there 😀

Faith might stand a chance if she could avoid the death grip. If she wasn't enough of a Trekkie to know what Spock was capable of, though, I think he would handily win.

Bet you mean the FSNP - which stuns/knocks out, but doesn't kill. 😉 😛

I realize it doesn't actually kill; I'm just using the phrase because nearly everyone (including non-Trekkies) will recognize it.

No, there is no specific "Vulcan Death Grip," but the Vulcan martial art does have lethal capabilities, as was illustrated in "Journey To Babel" in Season 1.

Sounds like on a physical level they may be matched so I'm gonna go wild and pick the pointy-eared gent. I think Faith can be very emotional and this is why I think this is a great hypothesis: Spock in most cases is a master of his emotions and I suppose combined with his high intelligence he could easily best her(and then prob teach her a thing or two). In fact, I think even if his physical abilities aren't better than hers he would still use his intellect to beat her.
I love Faith and part of what I love about her is her animal instinct her embrace of being a "hot chick with super powers" and this confidence in most cases can be seen as a strength but not when you're up against a rationally minded Vulcan
[Lol - btw - I didn't like "Storyteller" the first time I saw it but it grew on me and its bits like this that make it hilarious]
