Have i heard right, cuz i live in England. Buffy will be that last Slayer? Is this true? Becuase if it is, it doesnt make sense, what are all the SITS for then?

The Shaman guys told here that she is the Last Guardian of The Hellmouth.

Maybe all the SIT's are gonna die. And Buffy will then be last slayer. That means Faith has to die also.

Think of it another way ... Maybe the Hellmouth will be gone! Notthe slayer

Buffy could very well be the last slayer if Joss decides he wants to change the general mythos of the show. According to the last episode, the original slayer was imbibed with the spirit of a demon, so Buffy could very well be the last slayer, and then one of the SITs could become something different: a guardian, a non-slayer, or so on. Or, buffy could be the last guardian of the Hellmouth because this hellmouth is about to permanently close. Joss may be planning on moving locations with a spin off, just to separate it fully from Buffy. This is just speculation. The only thing I know for sure, is that Dawn will never be a Potential or a slayer, and that Joss was thinking about a Potential centric series back in november.

yea i was thinking...there are many cool things that joss could change the next would-be slayer into...they could be the exact same thing just with an extra perk! lol

I never thought of the Hellmouth being closed forever. I vote on this theory. Then there would be a lot of possibilities for everyone on the show now and characters to come...

and then Buffy doesn't have to die and her die-hard fans won't be upset!

Oh, please for once, let something good happen. 🙂

It stated in Fray (Joss' comic book series about a slayer in 4000 or so) that her precender (sp?) was Buffy, and that there were no slayers after Buffy!

OK- new thought... what if instead of A slayer, Buffy's power is distributed over like three of the potentials, sort of a power of three, BtVS style. That way, the network doesn't really have to commit to a "replacement" for SMG persay...
