I've been rewatching Season 7 the last couple of days, and something just occurred to me.
In "Showtime," Buffy rescues Spike in a beautiful scene at the end of the episode. In the next episode, "Potential," he is still suffering from injuries suffered during his capture. Then, in "First Date," he appears to be fully recovered. Also in that episode, Buffy is wearing a scarf around her neck, and her voice is noticeably hoarse. Now, here is what I was thinking.
The only other time in the entire series when Buffy wore a scarf like that was in Season 5 when she was trying to hide Dracula's bite marks. Now,I know that nothing was mentioned or even hinted at in the episode, but I was just wondering, and this is purely a "what if" question, not whether or not it was actually implied in the episode. Considering the fact that she would have wanted Spike back in full fighting shape as quickly, do you think that Buffy might have given Spike some of her blood in order to sped up his healing process?
