So... have not bought anything for a while and currently have a little money to spend.
Thinking about purchasing the Slayer's Stake by Factory X to add to my collection.

Personally I think it looks badass and I think I have tracked a cheap one. What do you think? Should I but it, or not?

I have to say i really like it! There are 2 collectables i would buy if i had money for them and one of them is a stake and the other would be the knife that the mayor gave faith. But yeah, i really like the stake. If you have the money to spare for it i would say get it, would make a lovely collectable 🙂
 
I know Forbidden Planet used to do them but that was quite a while ago. Give me a few minutes and i will have a little looksie around the interweb 😛

Hmmmmm, having a little difficulty finding a replica of Faith's dagger but i know that there is some out there somewhere in the world as i remember seeing one when it first came out. I will keep an eye out and if i manage to find one anywhere i will send you a link to it. 🙂

I don't know about a collectible of it but Faith's knife is actually a real knife. It's called "The Jackal" and was made by knifesmith Gil Hibben.

There is also a cheaper knockoff version called "The Wolf," but I have never been able to locate the manufacturer or get any other information on it. At a guess, I would say that it was imported by one of the low end importers, like Timberline, from Pakistan or China, but, as I say, I have nothing more to go on that the fact that I saw one once at a knife show in Atlanta (and I've regretted not buying it ever since)
 
I say if you have the money and you like it go for it. From the pictures it is very nice. 🙂
 
Since I only have enough money for one I am going with the stake. Will probably post a few pics of my own. (Probably not one with me staking my friend... probably not.)

Edit: Also going to review it!

wow that stake is so awesome! I've always wanted "The jackal" knife too but I haven't seen it available in years 🙁
 
Not excited about the stake, because I could make one outside...but if anyone finds the link to buy Faith's knife definitely post that! I would buy that in a heart beat!

btw for anyone who is interested, you can buy a replica of the scythe on buffystore.com
 
I've seen the jackal knife on ebay a few times. Can't remember the price, but it's not outrageous from what I remember.

From what I remember, it's sold with a display.

The scythe is worth the price. It's very heavy and it's gorgeous. It hangs in our bedroom and doesn't cheapen the look of our room. It's just an absolute beauty so I would recommend it to anyone who is looking into one.
 
um yeah...I'll never be able to afford anything like that lol take a picture and send it to me so i can pretend 😀

I own the Jackal knife! 😀 My dad bought it me for my birthday one year lol We were lucky, in my parents town, they actually had a weapon shop, they sold all tv and film replicas and army stuff too....it was actually kinda weird lol but he bought me the knife from there and my mum got me the Xena chakram too LOL 😀 Think the knife was about £100 :S The shop closed down a while after, as the towns people didn't like promoting weaponry and violence apparently :S I think kids and teens were staring in the windows drooling over ninja stuff etc they thought it would start gangs or soemthing??? I dunno lol
