Assuming that Joss ever decides to return to the Buffyverse, or sells the franchise to someone else, and a reboot (God forbid!) is out of the question, how would you like the next generation Slayer operation to be run, stipulating that none of the original cast would have any part in the production?

For me, it would be a team of at least five, but not more than ten, Slayers, with two or three acting as specific teams at any given time. That would take some of the strain off of one or two actors having to carry practically all of the action in every episode, the way that Sarah did.

I am afraid a post-Chosen show would turn BtVS into a regular superhero show, instead of an allegory for real life. I also like that most of the characters on BtVS have other qualities than violence and that Buffy is the only real superhero in the Scoobies, not counting Angel and Spike.

It might play out like CSI where they analyze information from two separate crimes in each episode. A demon attack goes on in one part of the town then there is a vampire nest to be flushed out in another part. They might all join together if the cases turn out to involve the same demons or if there is a threat that is the equivalent of a terrorist attack. You could have everyone there but no one would get the kind of screen time that Buffy (or Spike, for that matter) got on BtVS. A team of seven would be my preferred number, like the Magnificent Seven as it has cultural and numerological significance.

I think the show would have to somehow establish itself as part of the Buffyverse without using the name Buffy since Buffy wouldn't be appearing which could hamper it as it would be seen as a Buffy rip-off anyway.

When creating characters, the show would need to make its cast diverse without tipping into box ticking territory. They also need to make the characters likeable, we do not want a show full of Kennedys.

The show would have to appeal to an audience that is both old and new without contradicting any rules set out in the original Buffy.

Basically the show would be fighting against expected failure. It would need at least one original cast member to spearhead it to at least give it a fighting chance at success.

Ooh, I just figured out what to do, if I ever need to torture information out of @DeadlyDuo

Not necessarily. "Star Trek" only lasted e Seasons, whereas "Star Trek, The Next Generation" lasted 7 Seasons, and resulted in two other spinoffs, one prequel, a series of movies, a second series of rebooted movies, and now another new series beginning this fall. With the exception of a very brief cameo by Dr McCoy in Episode 1, Season 1, a single episode with Scotty the year after, and couple of episodes guest starring Spock later, none of whom could be considered in any way as "spearheading" the series, the subsequent shows have quite successfully stood on their own merit. A future "Vampire Slayer" series would have a good chance of doing the same, assuming that the quality remained good.

You don't need guest shots as long as they name drop a number of characters from the show . Plus Slayers & Watchers would be in there so if you want something from the first show have the Watcher be male & English.
