Sleep deprived...

Sleep deprivation continues to habitually arise, could be up to 3 days for me. Just add a coffee maker, heavy music and something that's plaguing my mind and i'm set for the next few days.

For me, it was literally 3 days.
It began on September 11, 2001....we all know what happened on that day.

My girlfriend was working part-time as a security officer/receptionist about 5 blocks away from there in one of the Salomon/Smith Barney (now CitiGroup) buildings. Now, being a security officer, one cannot leave the job site at the end of the tour unless properly relieved by another guard....but when the Towers were attacked, no one was allowed into that area, hence, none of the relieving guards were able to get to her job site, and she ended up being stuck there in Manhattan for three days.
I, however, didn't know this at the time, and she couldn't call me because phone service in her area was knocked out. So I ended up staying awake for 3 days sick with worry, as I didn't know what had happened to her.
I tell ya, staying awake for that long is NOT fun, especially if you're worried about something. You're exhausted and your thoughts lack cohesion at times. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Oh God Old Master! I would have gone insane. I know how I feel when I can't find my husband if he's a couple hours later than I THINK he shoud be! I am the kind of freak that would have been down there punching people out till I could find him. But I'm totally irrational. When I get worried I can't stay put. I'm glad she was ok though. That was a HORRIBLE time. I don't think anyone will forget where they were that day. I didn't even know anyone there but for a week if I wasn't sleeping I was glued to the news.

57 hours.I was at camp with my friend. And when the people came to get us wed take our sheets and junk and hide it and wed hide under the beds. They thought the cabin was empty.lol

damn...that must've sucked oldie...i hope i don't ever have to go through with that...

Twenty four hours and that's my limit. I was coming back from holiday.. our flight was in the middle of the night, i didn't sleep all that day with it being our last day on holiday. I couldn't sleep on the plane as it was pretty uncomfortable and by the time we arrived back at the airport, i was as cranky as a two year old and ready to rip the head off anyone who looked at me funny. When we got home i literally fell face down on our bed still fully clothed and slept eight hours straight.

72 hours not quite sure how it happenend i was never in the mood to go to bed. Im doing something simerler now ive had like 3 hours in three days.
