Well I was wondering if any of you guys sleepwalk or if you have ever have insomnia ?

Well my experience is that when I was with my ex I used to sleepwalk all the time . I woke up in the bathroom with the lightsout in the middle of the room at 3 in the morning kinda freaked me out a bit. I also didn't sleep for like 3 months starting hallucinating scarey scarey x

What about you guys?

Love the sig :)
Sleepwalking and sleeptalking (=having conversations with awake people) then I was a kid. I´m sleeping way too little most of the time. But I always get some sleep and no hallucinations for me.

I've done some weird stuff in my sleep, but it's rather rare. Occasional sleeptalking, once I shouted "DON'T MARRY HIM," which shocked me to hear about, 'cause I dunno what went on there... there have been a few times I've fallen asleep on couches or somethin at friends' houses, and they've "woken me up" to get me upstairs, but in the morning, I don't know how I got there.

The big ones:
Once, when I was little, my mom got ujp to go to the bathroom at 2 am and she saw the light on in my room. She came in and I was reading. She told me to get to sleep, so I put the book down, turned the light off, and went to sleep. When she asked me about it the next day, I had no idea what she was going on about.

I was under six years old, because we still lived at my old house. I woke up one morning and my parents were in my room. There was blood EVERYWHERE. Legit. All over the walls, my pajamas, them, my bed, the floor, everything. Apparently all night I was thrashing around and having this massive nosebleed. My parents were up all night trying to get it to stop--mom says it was just pouring out, like a waterfall-- and my the time I woke up, they still didn't have everything cleaned. They were holding me down on my bed and everything, trying to get me to stop thrashing.

4 syllables. Po-ses-sion.......bitch! XP Now you have a perfect excuse to take out all that work related agression on someone. "I didn't do it! I was possesed!"
I don't have any weird sleep issues, but my hubby sometimes has sleep terrors/paralysis. Usually he manages to make just enough noise so I'll reach over to check on him, and that breaks it.

Well when I was in las vegas I had such a bad nightmare about the borg coming to get me (AND I HAD JUST BEEN ON THE STAR TREK RIDE LOL ) I rolled right out of my bed smacked my face against the sidetabe blood everywhere and a black eye for the next 6 days of my holiday lol x

The only sleeping issue I've had was last year when I had insomnia. For whatever reason, I just could not sleep and I was in a constant state of tiredness. I really didn't know that you started hallcinating from lack of sleep until I started seeing things like the floor moving like waves in the sea - that was weird.

Apparently, I can sleep with my eyes open, lol. Friends and family have said they've seen me lying in bed, or on the couch/floor, whatever, and I'm staring at the ceiling, or at someone or something in the room. They ask me what I'm doing, and I just close my eyes. Next morning, I don't remember a thing, lol.

My brother is the worst for sleep walking. We share the entire top of the house, and often I'll hear him wandering about at, like, 4am, and I have to go in and check on him. Once I found him playing his PS, with the TV OFF! He was just staring at the blank screen and moving his fingers over the control. Usually I can guide him back to bed and he'll just go over again, but there was one time where he just HAD to go down to the kitchen, and no amount of persuasion was gonna get him back in bed. I had to go with him and follow him around for 20 minutes in case he decided to make himself eggs or something. Lol, he never remembers anything, just some of the stuff I say to him to get him back to bed.

My friend's brother used to be able to sleep with his eyes open in his teens. His Mom came home one day and thought he was dead but when she shook him he was like 'Whoa what are you doing?'. Haha
The other night I woke up at like 3 am and went to go get something to drink. When I came back to my room I was finishing my drink when my mom walks in, wondering what I was doing. So she asks, "What are you doing?" (Haha) And so I WANT to say that I was getting something to drink, but I kept thinking "That doesn't make sense!" so I was just smiling and mumbling to her about "getting something to...uh, something to...haha, getting something to..." and then she tells me to go to bed and I go "Okay!" and fall like RIGHT asleep.

It was wierd LOL.

I used to do a form of sleepwalking, 'cept when I awoke I'd have things from places that hadn't existed for years. I once awoke with a rubber business stamp for a place that had packed up twenty years prior to that date.
That doesn't happen anymore, I've just got insomnia now, which I think is stress related.

I don't sleep walk but I do sometimes talk in my sleep.

My little brother walks in his sleep though, The other night I was reading my book and I was the only one awake and all of a sudden I heard my brothers door open and he stopped outside my door and started calling my name. It was really creepy so I did my best to ignore him and he went back into his room and didn't remember any of it the next morning.

Dont think ive ever sleepwalked, but scary stuff, getting up and doing stuff you dont know your doing! ooah, who knows what might happen

I sometimes talk in my sleep. It's usually just a mumble or two, but I have been known to say oh-so-meaningful things like, "No, Mom! I'm not hungry!" I also sometimes sleepwalk in that I might get out of bed and turn off a fan or something without remembering it. One day, about a month ago, I closed a window without remembering it. No big adventures for me.

My little sister, however, is another story. When she was a kid, she used to have trouble waking up fully in order to go to the bathroom at night. In her sleep, she'd think the kitchen chair or some other inappropriate place was the toilet. Bahaha. I mean, it was no fun for my parents to have to clean that up, I'm sure, but it was really funny.

I've been known to talk in my sleep and walk in my sleep, sometimes do chores!

I also, apparently get insomnia. It USUALLY ends with me passing out the next day for like 15 hours, but lately, not so much.
I've been told I also can sleep with my eyes open. I know my daughter can do it and it's VERY corpse like and creepy.

Luckily, the sleep walking doesn't get all that bad anymore. Since the kids, I'm more likely to actually STAY PUT while asleep.

I have sleep apnea, which means, fir those unfamiliar with it, that I actually stop breathing while asleep, sometimes as many as a hundred or more times a night. I have to wear an air mask that blows pressurized air into my lungs. Even with that, I rarely sleep more than 5 or 6 hours a night, so to stay awake during the day, I have to take an antisleep medication. Without it, I can gould doze off at any moment, such as while driving, or at work. It's the main reason for my planned early retirement.

Dlou444 agrees: Like my sister! She sleeps with the Darth Vader mask too!

I never really thought about it that way. Does that mean I get my own personal light saber and get to master "the force,"? (or at least find out exactly what it is)

My dad has that. It's kinda scary when he stops breathing for a few seconds.

I don't think so, she hasn't learned anything fun, other than those "wakey" pills are DARN pricey here. Oh and to not put down your soon to be ex-husband's insurance as your primary insurance once you get your own. Big no no.

I don't do sleep walk or talk (I think, no-one has told me otherwise), but I do remember one time my mum told me this story, I was about 15 and was really sick. Apparently got out of bed one night, burst into my parents room screaming about something then ran to the back door, unlocked it, opened it and stood on the seat on the balcony and my mum had to try and coax me back into bed. I don't remember any of it.

I used to do that when I was younger. One time I even attempted to leave the hosue while sleeping.
Well, and talking...one night I started screaming. And I even realized in my dream thast I was screaming, I just thought it was just that, screaming in my dream, not reality. Well, and occasionally I spoke. Once during a class trip. Luckily I wasn't even speaking a language anyone recognized (so my guess is Russian...unless I can dream in languages don't speak) so that was probably helpfull. That's by the way also one of my biggest fear, start talking when asleep with other people in the room. And it is kind of likely that it might happen at some point, because I often fall asleep in my roommates' rooms.
And there was a time when I woke up with scratches and bruises all over my body and I had no idea where they come from. So my safest guess there would also be sleepwalking, but you never know.

ok, that scratches & bruises part is spooky. Freddy Krüger, anyone?
My husband sleep talks/walks. It's weird... no matter what he is saying/doing, I can talk to him & get "right into his dream" whatever it may be.

It usually happens to him during times when he is EXTREMELY tired, or during the very rare times that he has had too much to drink.

Once, when we were spending the weekend with some friends out of town, he got up in the middle of the night, & started bumping into things. I asked him "WTF are you doing?" and he said he needed to go to the bathroom. I said "well - go! it's DOWNSTAIRS". So he went OUT of the bedroom, but didn't go downstairs. Instead, he went into my friend's bedroom, & proceeded to open & close all her dresser drawers. This, of course, woke her, & she flipped on the light just as I stepped into the doorway & she looked at him & said "May I help you?" - and he said "No, that's Ok, I just need to go to the bathroom!" 🙄

I ended up guiding him downstairs to the bathroom. The next morning we were joking about it, but he, of course, didn't remember it at all.

I have hundreds of stories like these... and only once has he ever "hurt" me. He grabbed me by the arms & THREW me on the bed when I was trying to get him to come back to bed. Of course he didn't remember any of it, & he felt horrible! I assured him I was ok, even tho I had bruises on my arms where he picked me up! - and I kept telling him it wasn't his fault, he was asleep & didn't know what he was doing. But still, he slept in the guest bedroom for over a week because he was afraid he'd hurt me again!

Strangely, both his sisters & his brother also have that sleep talking/walking thing, but they all pretty much outgrew it as they got older, but my husband never has.

^LOL!
My husband has issues like that. Not usually quite as bad as walking into people's bedrooms though.
But, many times he'll doze off and DEMAND he's awake, including continuing to eat if he's got something and many other annoying things.
He'll also claim he's awake and then the next day have NO memory of what was discussed. Sometimes this can be VERY annoying like when asking him to do something or asking him his opinion on something and then the next day find that not only did he NOT do what he was supposed to but he's FURIOUS that I did something "without consulting" him.

On the flip side, he will get LIVID if I give him all sorts of tests to see if he's "awake". It's an odd circle.

But, it IS better than it used to be. He used to just pass out while talking to you even early in the evening. We'd be talking and he'd suddenly start with this, "No, I haven't seen ANY bicycles come through here"! It was a tad amusing and a LOT annoying!
