Not sure if one of these have been posted before, perhaps even by me, but I thought it would be fun to hear what everyone else thinks of one of my favorite tv shows of all time.

Man, Smallville pretty much was my teenage years. Clark was my idol, for a long, long time (still love him).

I loved Clark, Lex and Lana. The dynamic between the three of them was always top-notch, especially the friendship between Clark and Lex.

The first four or five seasons of Smallville are some of my favorite stuff in television. Ever. Once Lex and Lana left the show though, I thought it really went downhill. I watched it right to the end, but the series finale left me pretty letdown. As hard as they tried to push Lois, after Lana I could just never get into her.

Idk, I fell in love with Lois and enjoyed the show even after Lex and Lana left but I definitely agree that the finale was a huge let down. Ugh I loved Lana and Clark at first but once she was with Lex her character started to go downhill for me.

I was a fan for the first few seasons, then I found things were going downhill and I stopped watching. I'd like to finish the series though at some point. I really enjoyed it while I watched, and I'm a big fan of both Lana and Lois. I really like Tom Welling as Clark also.

omg, I love Smallville!!! It's one of my all-time favourite shows!!! It's not the best-written show, but it's fun. 🙂

I love Lois so much. Clois is my otp, probably my otp of al otps. 😀

season 9 is my favourite season, though I do have a fondness for the first few, especially because of Clark/Less bromance. 7 is my least favourite. I just thought the whole veritas storyline was messy.

I quite enjoyed the finale, though I watched the show after it had completely finished, so maybe that was part of it. I love the episode Homecoming. It's fantastic.

Now I read the comics, which I'm really enjoying. 🙂

I love Smallville. I agree that the earlier seasons were better than the later ones. I found the show wasn't the same without Lex. I watched it all the way to the end just for closure on the series really. I also found when Jonathon Kent died absolutely devastating and still find it heartbreaking on a rewatch of the episode. Smallville probably isn't a show I could rewatch as a whole though. I don't think it has as many layers to it as other shows so I don't really feel compelled for a rewatch. No real hidden metaphors or things like that.

I really liked the later seasons, I thought the first couple were really bad. I hated Lana, thought she was super annoying, liked it more once she left.

Much preferred it as a superhero ensemble show, rather than focused on Clark in school, I agree with TotalySpiked the metaphors were never well hidden, everything wast too in your face, once they gave that up, it got so much better.

I watched 1 and 2, struggled to get through the second half of 2, skipped 3, and just moved onto 4.

I can't remember which season I liked the best, it was either 7,8 or 9.

Thought it was a joke Welling didn't want to wear the suit, and such a pity it was all CGI at the end, they should have told him to shut up and do his job.

I might be on the less crowded side, but I'm not a fan of the first few seasons. I hate Lana with a passion... Clois is my OTP and I think the way Tom and Erica protrayed them was incredible. They are my fave Clois version 🙂

I would've liked to see Clark with the suit a bit more though. But it did make an impact to only see him with it in the last episode.

I also loved whenever we got to see more superheroes than just Clark. I absolutely loved Oliver.

You definitely should finish the show, if not for closure lol.

Just skip season 8 lol!

I think I liked season 6 the best. I loved Lexana but Green Arrow really reinvigorated the show. Oliver and Lois had great chemistry, but I did love the tragedy of it. Probably my favorite show of that era, and definitely a top five all time.

I think they really cared about each other, despite everything.

I disagree, I think Lana did at first until she actually realized the kind of monster Lex was. How he pretty much manipulated everything to get them together in the first place and the unconscionable things he did when they were together. He cared about her to the point of obsession.

Overall, Smallville ranks in my top ten of favorite shows of all time, but there were some things about it that I was dissapointed with, including the Lex-is-dead-now-he's-not story that popped up in Seasons 8-10, and how they ruined Lionel Luthor's redemtion in Season 7 by having an evil alternate version of him turn up, get killed, possessed by Darkseid, then blown up. However, the show was good enough for me to really get into the mythology of the Superman franchise. (FYI, Lionel and Lex Luthor were my two favorite characters, hence my complaints about their story arcs).

Lionel karma! :)
I love smallville. I actually lately have come to like Lana a lot. Kristen is great and I like her other projects. I am on the clark/chloe and lana/lex bandwagon. I really adore both those relationships.

I will say though I liked the early seasons more especially up to season 6. I missed Lex later on.
