Smashed - Censored Sex Scene

i'm a spufy shipper..so it doesen't reaaly bothers me..
i've seen it worse on tv.. advice: do NOT see portuguese series..besides sucking they put a lot of scenes worst that this one..in prime time.. ::dead::
 
Why wasn't it on the DVD set? I just finished the episode and I watched the features first. This scene wasn't anywhere on there. I wonder why they kept it out? It's not that bad.
 
Um, sorry, I wasn't really shocked at all. I admit it probably would have been quite extreme to show but it's quite fitting to their 'relationship' which seemed to be based on raw rampant sex. I would have been more saddened to see Buffy humping away at Angel because their relationship was more soulful and meaningful.
 
Buffy is a show for a mature audience. There is no way around it. I personally wouldn't let my child(if I had one)watch buffy till they were mature enough. It has nothing to do with the sex. Sex is a natural thing. Everyone on this planet is here as of a result of sex. It's what we are born to do. It's the violence that would make me balk at allowing a child to watch anything in the buffy-verse. Buffy and Angel are shows that feature a rather large amount of violence(especially Angel). Characters are constantly getting their necks broken, being dismembered, decapitated, stabbed, electrocuted, and assaulted by nightmarish creatures. Not to say that I mind those things myself.
 
I don't see what was wrong with it. I'm only a kid really (I'm 13) and I don't get why some people think Buffy is inapropriate for younger people, and some people say that Buffy is too scary for people my age to watch but I've been watching films like Frankenstein and Draculla since I was 2. But then again I know a girl thats the same age as me that got scared by 'The Haunted Mansion', so maybe I'm just older than my years (well thats what everyone apart from the people I go to school with tell me).
 
The scene is similar to the scene that aired when spike was doing it with the buffy bot and willow/xander caught them. It is not as bad as it could be. IMO the scene could have been a hell of a lot worse.
 
Boy was that a bad idea, I love Spuffy, but that stuff belongs on Nip/Tuck.By the way, what episode was that from?

yea it aired here....cuz its very familiar and i kinda remember seeing it for the first time and just kinda saying "um.......hm....thats odd" because it was kind of surprising to me that they would show something like that on Buffy
 
I didn't download that, but is that the one where they have sex in the old building and it falls down?
 
yeah it is. i havent downloaded it either, i had to forward the turn the one on t.v off whule it was showing, i dont really wanna look at a longer more graphic version.
 
Hmm. So after reading through all the posts to this thread, and then downloading the clip, all I can think is, what's the big deal? I expected this big sex scene and it.. well, it wasn't that bad. Typical BtVS showfare, I'd say.

::shrugs:: Maybe I'm just jaded.
 
Yeah I can't see what's wrong the scene. I downloaded it a while back expecting it to be almost p0rn like but it really wasn't thaaaat bad though I can see why it was cut. I think the wrecked cut scene was a bit worse since it was full on nudity but it was fun to see spike's bum 🙂 :bootyshak
 
It wasn't that bad to be honest, but stuff like that belongs on other shows. I'm glad it wasn't in the normal episode, even if Buffy isn't aimed at preteens they still watch it. Wether or not you'd let your kid see it is another matter, but most parents don't review every single episode of TV shows their kids watch before they let them watch it.
 
The scene wasn't that bad,I've seen worse.It was similar to what they did in Intervention in season5 but yes its good they didn't air it.Buffy is better off without these things...

I would just like to say I never liked season 6 but I'm gaining respect for it. Seeing the things they didn't include, it could have been so much worse!
