No plans for Sarah Michelle Gellar to be in the finale of Angel.

There are no plans for Sarah Michelle Gellar to appear in the finale of Angel reports TV Guide Online. (I must admit to being thankful that Whedon and ME are being correct in this... the finale should be about David and the actors who have made this show so succesful and memorable. It would be insensitive to say the least to have SMG 'take over' the final moments... the ATS character's all need their stories to be finalised. ~ Karen)

ANGEL UPDATE: Don't expect a certain Slayer to pop up on the series finale of Angel in May. A source tells TV Guide Online that there are still no plans for Sarah Michelle Gellar to guest-star on the Buffy spin-off, despite the WB's announcement Friday that this would be the show's final season. It may be just as well, judging by all the anti-Buffy e-mails I've been receiving. "We don't need no stinkin' Buffy to have a quality send-off for Angel," writes Claudia. "He is so much more than Buffy!" Adds Megan: "How about no to a Buffy/Angel reunion? What agenda are you pushing, Michael?" Well, for starters, Megan, I'd like SoapNet to acquire Santa Barbara.

Well, seeing as she doesn't want to, I don't need that ***censorship*** on there. Even more so, I think that guy is correct, Buffy would take over the finale, and perhaps it's good to see the series ending with it's own characters.
 
The guy is right,..but,..I want Buffy back to end up with Angel and don't take over the last ep...but I don't want Sarah back!,..can't another actress be Buffy?
 
I agree. But there still needs to be a conclusion on the romance. Spike and Angel just can't go off into the cancellation abyss without the score being settled over who gets Buffy in the end.
 
Don't forget that it might be a choice to not have Buffy on and not that Sarah declined.

And I second the cry for Santa Barbara on Soap Net lol

I'm betting that is what we'll have to settle with. But c'mon everyone can see it's bangel, not spuffy... David, Sarah, James and some of the writers have either said so or hinted at it.
 
ohwell we obviously are not going to be seeing any Spuffy or Bangel in the series finale of Angel so Spuffys cant be mad that Bangel ended up together and Bangel cant be mad that Spuffy ended up together. And nowhere did it say that they even asked SMG to be in the finale or that she even knows.

People just really need to get over this whole hating SMG thing because she wont appear on the show, its getting very childish.
 
I second that amen!

It would be nice... but there is that great point that she is not needed...because the show stands alone without her.
 
Angel doesn't need Buffy, It would be nice to have SMG to appear, but Angel doesn't need her at all....the show is independent of Buffy...
 
I completely agree, Angel doesn't need Buffy. However, since the show is ending, I want all lose ends tied up, and the Angel - Buffy - Spike triangle has to be resolved. I'm not saying it has to be resolved in a way that would be obvious, (someone ending up together), but some resolution, or hint of resolution, should be made. I think that can be done without SMG.

Personally, I'll always be an SMG fan because she made Joss' fantastic character come to life for 7 years. I got a lot of entertainment from BTVS, and that was the point. I miss it. I can never tell when it's Tuesday, it doesn't matter anymore. I've enjoyed Angel too, but never as much. Whether SMG drops in or not doesn't really matter. I'm still mourning the loss of Cordelia. The thing I hate is that Angel's all we have left and soon that will be gone too. I will never watch another show on the WB.
 
I just want to see an ending to the romance..I'd love to see SMG but not to take over the finale...Just hope to get some sort of explanation...

As depressing as the end of Angel may be, I know that every time I come on here someone says something to make me laugh. You guys are great. I thank you all so much for it. lmao DXY! That's all the resolution I need!
 
I think Buffy will come back,as I personally feel that is one of the reasons why they got rid of Cordelia. As well as the fact that she had to go any way 🙂
 
I think DXY said it best. THAT would be the best ending to a show ever! 😀 I don't personally care to see Buffy on Angel. But whatever...I just don't want to lose this show!
