Thought this was something everyone should see! Yep, it looks like she's taking this seriously.

😉 Cool. Every little bit of news like this helps in convincing my brain that this is actually happening.

I'm so glad Sarah is involved in the reboot. I was very skeptical about the whole concept until her involvement was announced.

So when Buffy ended… as a fan, I was upset at how much she distanced herself from the show when it ended. She didn’t lend her voice to the video games, and she wanted to move on in her career.

Knowing how much she went through in seasons 6 & 7 with Joss and trying to do right by the character but having to play a role she wasn’t comfortable with, despite vocalizing it..

I now understand why she distanced herself. And so seeing how EXCITED she is to be back in the role and be in the producer’s chair and ensure the production meets the expectations of fans, new and old. I am LIVING for this era of Buffy.

Yes, having SMG back as Buffy is very encouraging.

I hope her enthusiasm is contagious for other potentially returning cast members.

Slayers showed that quite a lot of members were willing to return, and both Amber and Emma, from what I have read, were equally reluctant to have anything more to do with the series after seasons 6 and 7. But they, and others from what I can see, later spent quite a lot of time on the convention circuit, some years later.

Absolutely. I think a small part of it was not wanting to be known only as 'Buffy', and as you said, wanting to move on with her career.

Time away, being able to reflect, and the rise of reboots probably contributed to change her perspective. Also not having JW be part of this project. She'll make sure everyone feels safe and heard on the set.
