SMG returns to tv????

I saw this while I was browsing E! Online and almost had a panic attack!!



Here's a little news to make you fellow Buffy fans squeal.

Sources close to the lovely Sarah Michelle Gellar tell me she's become somewhat disenchanted with the movie scripts she's been receiving, so she's considering...wait for it...coming back to television.

Boo-freaking-yah.

Word is, Sarah's been looking at various TV scripts and weighing her options. And you know what that means, my friends? With any luck, when the strike ends, we could have Joss Whedon and Sarah Michelle Gellar both back in our lovely small-screen world!

Wonder if she's asked Joss to send her the treatment for Dollhouse? Yeah...probably not. That'd be far too good to be true. But still, here's hoping we get to see Gellar in our living rooms again sometime soon!

I didn't write that, it was written by Kristin on E! Online and for the record I think the chances of them working together on a new show are absolutely nill!!!

I'd like to see her on something like Heroes or Lost or maybe Weeds -- something that is still very clever and well written and perhaps a little deeper than the average TV show. To be fair, I am several years behind on current TV shows, so a new show would be great. Less catch up time. 🙂

I've never watched Grey's. It seems like a GH rip-off to me. I swear, I think they even use some of GH's old sets (refurbished, but still). My mom watches it, the traitor! lol.

Ok seriously YOU NEED TO WATCH GREY'S ANATOMY. Its the only 'new' (its in its fourth season!) show that I watch. If you want clever, well written and deep well it really doesn't get much better, and doesn't Marti Noxon write on Grey's now?

I was just talking about that with my friend! When we were in school we had a show for every night of the week and now I don't watch tv anymore!!! Really all I watch is soccer and Grey's on the internet. Nothing else. It's kinda sad actually.

Wonder if she's asked Joss to send her the treatment for Dollhouse? Yeah...probably not. That'd be far too good to be true.

I don't think Joss would offer what is definitely Eliza's show to Sarah, and I don't think Sarah would settle for less than the starring role, so that will probably never happen, unless it's maybe a guest shot.



What kind of shows do you think she should do if she does return?

She would probably want something as dis-similar to "Buffy" as possible obviously. Maybe a sit-com or a nighttime soap opera. Fantasy and horror, she'll probably avoid like the plague. (Still, with her available and possibly James, there could be the possibility of a really GREAT reunion tv movie)

I don't think she will go anywhere near the fantasy genre if she can avoid it. But the posibility of a movie jumped into my head too. Although with comics going so well I doubt we will ever see these actors playing these characters again.

I saw her in sex and city and wasn't exactly blown away and to be honest I haven't really liked her in anything else. I duno maybe has the Vivienne Leigh curse..she can't get past Buffy becuase as far as female leads go..what tops The Slayer???
