I just heard that Sarah and her husband are fans of Arsenal Soccer club. As a Manchester United fan well i am a little disappointed. Anyone got a link where she confirms this? or knows anything about it?
 
I can't find anything where she confirms it, but it's mentioned in her trivia section on IMDb and there's a few results when you google "sarah michelle gellar arsenal"

I've never been a football fan so it doesn't bother me at all. I never really got the whole sport team thing. My brother thinks I'm crazy because I wouldn't watch the World Cup final if England were in it.
 
Not that Arsenal is the perfect choice but it could be worse. And honestly I think it's great that they like the right kind of football. 😉
 
Some people just don't like Football i don't understand it but i can accept it :smile3:

Would be interesting to know why Arsenal though, i'am guessing its Freddie's bad influence on her :smile3:

Most likely. But then the question is why Arsenal is his team. Hopefully any of the americans have posted an answer until tomorrow. 😉
 
Maybe it's because Manchester United is too famous in the US? 😛 I wish Sarah supports Man U just like me. The only thing I like about Arsenal is Andre Arshavin.
 
Well, if she had any sense she'd support United 😛

This seems to be a trend in Hollywood, I think Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher were seen at a Highbury game (no idea if they have been to the Emirates). I think I remember a few other American celebs being seen at Arsenal home games.

Honestly? I don't get it. I think it must be a London thing though.

Must say i am really interested in knowing why she supports Arsenal. Its one of those things that going to bug me a little before i find out. Hopefully someone will shed some light on the matter.

Kinslayer i'am guessing you might follow Gothenburg? or Stockholm?
 
Gothenburg and Stockholm have 3 teams each in the top league so there's a little to choose from. 😉 IFK Göteborg/Gothenburg would be the natural choice but I support Malmö FF. 😛 But to be honest I know more about my favourite teams abroad. I'm not as fanatic now as I was when I was younger.
 
I think either her or Freddie worked in London for awhile a few years back, right? I think that has alot to do with it. When you live in a new place for prolonged period you try and take in things like football games and such. Like myself, I lived in Massachussetts for 4 months a couple years back and simply being there and going to a couple games I am by default a Red Sox/Patriots/Bruins and Celtics fan.
 
I'm not sure to be honest, Freddie might have even been on the West End. I can't quite remember, it was years ago.
 
I'm not sure about Sarah supporting Arsenal, but I know for a fact that Mercedes McNab (Harmony) does. Her father, Bob McNab, played for Arsenal in the 1960's.

Arsenal eh? Suppose it could be worse. I myself support Newcastle Utd, home of the best fans in the UK 😀 Actually this got me thinking, would anyone else be interested in a football thread in the Social Studies forum?

Mercedes Mcnab's dad is Bob Mcnab!?! Awesome!! I support two teams, Dundee Utd, my home town team(well the good one anyway) who I've supported since I was 5 & Arsenal who I've followed for 10 years or so, this is great news. Why would SMG not be a gooner? We are by far the greatest team the world has ever seen, bring on the Barca!!
