i use to 'social smoke' at 15, don't judge me!

If my mum ever found out she would kill me, more important be disappointed in me.

Don't do it any more though, it was hard when i knew people who smoked, ( that were older thn me)
i suppose i just kind of became a house bug in the last year, and never had the chance to smoke, plus different friends.

I've never smoked, nor do i ever plan to smoke. I can't stand the smell, and the thought of what it does to your lungs creeps me out 😛

However many of my friends smoke, and it's not uncommen for them to try and make me have one. Good thing i'm a faster runner than they are (sw)

They plan to pin you down and get you to smoke? 😉 I didn't have that problem. Either they accepted it or they just thought I was boring/ a loser. But no running included. Might of course be because they knew what smoking did to them so they didn't even bother trying.

Talking about kids and smoking, reminded me of this Scottish anti-smoking ad from a few years ago. 😀

OMG I forgot about this! This, and the blue sticks are my favourite anti-smoking ads EVER.
They plan to pin you down and get you to smoke? 😉

Almost right, they literally shoved one in my mouth and held my nose. I just spat it out and ran. Althought to be fair they were somewhat drunk at the time. lol!
(I would have just karma'd that to you, but that silly rule got in the way 😛)

You either have really "nice" friends or just another example of how smart you get when you're drunk. ;)

You have really nice friends, trying to force you to smoke -.- I hate behaviour like that!
I used to smoke around 20 a day but I gave up a few years ago. I still smoke the occasional cigarette when I'm drunk but I always regret it. I don't miss it that much really, except when I'm really stressed, or after a particularly large meal.

I've been an on-again, off-again smoker for ..... wow. A long time. I'm currently in an on-again phase because of some recent stressful events in my life that happened to coincide with my running out of Nicorette gum. Bad planning on my part! However, I finally got the slip in my mailbox today that I have a package at the post office, and I suspect that's the Nicorette I ordered from eBay, so yayyy, I'll be off-again soon!

Good luck with the Nicorettes, I tried the patches but the side effects were too bad.
Confirmed smoker here. I will be until they kill me, but I may start again afterwards!

Yeah, I tried the patch several years ago, didn't like them either!
I packed it in 1997, started when I was 12 and that is a hell of a long time ago. It is one of the best things I did health wise, better off in cash, I think they are about £4.50 for 20 and that is expensive as far I am concerned. I breath better, sweeter breathe and a happier wife. I come from a family of smokers and three close members (mum, dad and a sister) died from smoking related disease, two cancers and heart problem. However, I still feel that it is up to the indvidual if they wish to smoke after all it's their life. But, not in public because passive smoking exists.

If its smokable, I've been there.

I don't regularly smoke now. Mostly I'm a cigar man. I tried to be a guitar man, but I fell short.

I rarely smoke cigarettes, when I did regularly I found it quite easy to stop, whenever I wanted. You just need to learn to control your mind.

I started smoking cigarettes a few years back, way later than most people... I was 20 at the time, and I didn't care about anything in life so it made sense to spend money and waste my health on something that in some ways made me feel slightly better (just like I drank a lot of alcohol at the time, and smoked weed). Anyhow, I kept smoking until October last year, when I quit, which was hard, and this summer I started smoking a bit again (cigarettes), 'cause it's so nice during the summer when you spend so much time outside. And right now I feel a bit crappy... I'm gonna quit next week when uni starts though, basically I can't afford to smoke 'cause my rent is so high and cigarettes are expensive!

I thought someone smoked you. I haven't seen any posts of yours around.
I used to smoke when I was in pubs/clubs before the UK Smoking ban, even though I was underage to be drinking in a pub. Anyway, I usually just smoke when I'm drinking at a friends house now, something about alcohol and nicotine that is amazing or something. I always smoke near a window or open doorway though because of the studies from passive smoking and that way people can't moan at me.

Yeah, I have a friend that reckons he doesn't smoke, he only smokes cigars.

I smoke. My smoking fluctuates - I used to smoke half a pack, then it was two packs, and now I average a pretty decent pack a day. Yea, it's expensive. But I think back to all the people I would've killed if I hadn't started, and look at the lack of bodies in my backyard, and smile.

My whole thing about smoking is this [not trying to spark debate here, just stating some stuff]: if people don't like what I do, in regards to anything really, they don't have to be around it. If you don't like my smoking, don't hang out with me. I'm not going to change what I do because you don't like it, mainly because I could give a shit less if people approve of my actions. I like smoking, it calms me. It makes me less nuts than I already am. My reasons are my own and if you don't like it...well, I guess that sucks. .: shrug :.

Another smoke-virgin here. It grosses me completely out. I think it's such a disgusting habit. Just nasty, IMHO. Seriously, I don't see the draw. HA!!!! I do love a good pun! :lmao:

I don't smoke I have tired it though. I've got friends who smoke to and my sister is a social smoker, its just never really interested me when I could be spending my money on better things! like ER DVD's

I voted social smoker. I don't really smoke very often and when I do its almost always other peoples. I don't smoke regularly but its a nice way to relax with mates.

nah, it's an okay type of smoking...I did it until I was 18
Other people shouldn't have to breath your smoke yo!
Its a disgusting habit,ewww.
Theres nothing worse than a bloody ex smoker, they can tell you,"I stopped smoking one year, two months, one week, three days, seven hours, twentyseven minutes and twelve seconds ago",they stand there tut tutting, and forget they used to do it too.
Now i'm off for a bleedin' fag(smoke in london lingo)

I'm a smoker.
I fluctuate between having one every few days to twenty a day (maybe more if I've got rollies and am drinking), depending on my mood etc. I used to be a pretty heavy self harmer and I stopped and I have started smoking more since then when life stresses me out, but I figure the long term health effects are outweighed by the fact that I could end up with 20 stitches in my arm/hitting a vein etc.
