Nothing beats the smell of the fresh ice right before you step on it... I live for pucks flying at me at incredible speeds (I'm a goalie)... Theres nothing in this world like that feeling of seeing someone speed towards you and knowing that they aren't getting anything past you...

Now, just remind me, the Canadian Dollar coin is called a "loony" because...
(a) It has a picture of a bird called a loony on it OR
(b) It's named after participants in the nation's favourite sport 😉 😛 😀

I wish that was the case for us... I have this bad feeling that we won't see the end of Winter for a little while... We had a pretty long Summer/Fall... Mother Nature isn't very nice right now 🙁

Did I ever mention I live in Northern Sweden and we have snow six months a year? It's not fun in any way. Well, it can be ok for a day or two, but seriously, I hate snow. And about the "good reason not to go to school", that only works if you live somewhere where they're not used to snow. Here, it's snow Everywhere, and it can be -30°c (not too often though) and I have never during my twelve years in school been allowed to stay at home because of the weather. Snow is extremely annoying 'cause it's cold, you can't walk fast or ride a bicycle, people/kids throw snow at you.. yeah there are many reasons. And I can only think of one good thing and that is the fact that snow makes it less dark (hey, we have no sun here in the middle of winter)..

The only good thing I can say about snow is that it looks pretty sometimes - but only when I'm nice and snug indoors 🙂

Well, today the snow actually looked pretty. I was on my way home from school, thinking happy thoughts, there was the bright shining sun and the white pretty snow.. made me even happier.. But I'm sure I would have been just as happy with green grass and flowers instead of snow though.. hmm.

I hate snow now... after my 4hour sledgin session.. and gettin chucked in the snow.. I was frozen.. my bum,feet,hands were numb... there's just snow everywhere.. didnt stop snowing all day.. but the good thing was no college.. and probably none tmoro..

We're getting 7 inches tonite supposedly. I'm just hoping it's enough to cancel work, but will clear out before I have to go out tomorrow night 😀

I really like when the first snow comes. It's so beautiful and also gets silent for some strange reason. But now I'm just tired of it. That's exactly how I feel... Well get like a beautiful day... Where I'm outside in a tank-top and shorts washing my car... Then the next, blizzard... ARGH

Nope. Mrs. D and I were cleaning up after a particularly nasty thunderstorm a few years back. The storm had spawned tornadoes, and done a lot of tree damage in the area. I was being my usual self and making jokes about natural disasters and the impending visit of Mrs. D's sister from Alberta, and she "accidentally" clubbed me with a large tree limb...she still claims it was accidental...

I used to hate snow. But now I've taken up snowboarding, and when the snow is gone, the tears show up. Although, shoveling.. now that's something that I'm not so much a fan of. Especially when I hear about people getting heart attacks from doing it. And heating up the car in the morning.... oh, yeah, snow. It's pretty sometimes.

Yes. It's here, it's been here for the past week or so. Normally I'm quite fond of it, I have to being a Swede and all (like Canada jr), but it's not supposed to be snowing in England. It's been snowing for 5 days or so, but there is no snow on the ground, just a layer of wetness. I'm not so impressed by it, but it's probably because I've got a cold.

Still I had to do something a friend of mine made me do once, first day of snow you have to eat ice-cream, just to get that cold feeling all over. The feeling is kinda special and nice, watching the snow fall, turn up the radiators and freeze you fingers and toes off and getting that coldness in your tummy. Try it.

Ah ha ha ha ha! FINALLY we've gotten some substantial snow! I live in the mountains, it is supposed to snow before Thanksgiving here, but we haven't had anything bigger than an inch yet...and then there was today, where it snowed from 1 am to 1 pm, stopped for a little while, started again around 3 and hasn't stopped yet, and it's nearly 10! Yay. I adore snow!!

-20°c... I hate Northern Sweden ('s weather). I just had a friend visiting from Southern Sweden, and she was walking around smiling and laughing at the snow, seriously, taking pics of it like it's something exotic.. I want it gone.. now.. please..

Well, I woke up this morning snug in my bed. I was happy and safe in the notion that the snow we had last week had left us for good. Then my radio told me that snow had fallen over night. It had been -19 degrees C or something like that. Darn that snow! kd!? Is this your doing?
