Snow in the UK!!!

I love snow!! 🙂 I think it makes everything look so beautiful and sparkly, like some fantasy land lol 😀 I'm in Cheshire, England, so fingers crossed we'll get some this year 😀
 
It's snowed here. I'm afraid I'm on team dislike with snow. It's nice to look at when it's just fallen but when it comes to going anywhere it's horrible. The snow on the roads basically turns to slushy ice and it makes it risky trying to get anywhere.
 
Well we had snow between 8-9am, but it was nothing worth taking any pictures of lol. It's all gone now.

I like it when it snows and when it is first here but 1 day is enough for me lol.
 
Snow's all gone now 🙁 Yesterday the temperature was above 10C so it kinda killed all the patches of snow :'(
 
We are not in a snow belt here in the Toronto area, and that suits me fine. Go 90 miles south to Buffalo and they get about four times what we do. We had one snowfall of about a half inch last week that promptly brought out all the salt trucks. Fortunately, the rain the following day washed it all away. We have had some rain through November and into December but no snow that lasted more than 24 hours.

The dogs love the snow. The Samoyed and the Border Collie have no objection to snow although ice may cause them both to fall - even the Samoyed that is used as a sled dog in central Russia north of the Himalayas.
 
We got snow and more is coming it seems. A lot more.

Prepared? I don't need to be. I got the clothes I need but that's more for the cold than the snow. Everything else is up to others. Talk about being spoiled.

Snow for the holidays and the holiday break is nice. Personally I don't need or especially want it for more than two weeks but a month or two is definitely acceptable. As long as we're talking about snow and not some slushy mess.
 
Well I have dug this thread out again as the snow has hit hard in the south UK where I live. Roads are closing, schools are closing etc etc, I'll take a picture of my garden tomorrow lol...We are just so never prepared for the snow here.
 
Whoa that is a lot of snow; we've just been having random bursts of blizzards while the sun is beaming down. It was very confusing weather, and my cheeks got beaten up by icy winds!
 
Just little bursts here too! Bloody freezing though. My mam's car broke down so we were stood outside mid-burst trying to fix it. Not fun 😛 But at least it's not too bad! I love snow though. I know I'm 21 years old but it still excites me! Although it fast gets annoying too. I was in the Lake District this weekend though and the dusting on the hills made it so pretty! It just looks boring now I'm back home!

Okay, it's the middle of March...how come we're having more snow now than we did in December/January???
