I woke up and looked out my window and what did I see if not snow.
"Snow in October?" I asked myself.
And yes, it's true. I wasn't dreaming or anything. A very thin layer of snow has settled on the lawn outside the house. Even though it's a very amusing thing, the first snow of the year, I quickly remembered that snow isn't that fun at all.
I haven't even had time to buy myself a decent winter jacket damnit!
I really do hate snow, it's cold and when it hits your face it hurts.

What I wanna know is: What do you all think about snow? Yay or nay?

(Btw; I accidentally votet Yay! But I ment to vote Nay! lol)
 
Nay! Is it seriously snowing in Luleå? Then the snow will come here soon too I guess, which makes sense cause yesterday night it was freezing when I walked home.. I hate to live in Norrland sometimes.
It's always nice when the first snow comes, it's pretty and white and feels like magic and all and reminds you of christmas.. But where I live the snow is here for almost six months (on the ground at least, it's not snowing that long). I hate it cause it's hard to ride a bike, it's cold, you need better shoes than I own, when it's snowing on you and you go inside the snow melts and your clothes get wet, it's hard to walk sometimes cause of the snow.. I can go on for ever.. This is the only thing I hate about Norrland (northern Sweden), the cold winters.

OMG you live in Norrland. Wow in school at the moment we are learning all about sweden...norrland,scania,smaland... you have a very cool country. With lots of forests apperantly... and continious daylight during the summer...
 
SNOW! I love snow! I love walking around in the snow. I love the cold. Snow means, CRAPPY SNOW FORTS!😀 And THROWING SNOWBALLS AT THE MAIL MAN!😀 And all that other fun stuff. And one year, the snow was about 6-7 feet high(after the snowplow man came through)! It was awesome. We had 3 days off of school that year(which meant more school in the summer time*sigh*).

Snow during Halloween would be awesome too. Just sitting behind a wall of snow, and scaring the little kids, and they run away. Or throwing snowballs at the houses that have no more candy. Yep. That would be my kind of Halloween.

I have an evil mind. I should stop watching tv....

I live in Norrland too. Very overrated place. We have three modes: 1. Snow. 2. Rain. 3. Mosquitos.

Snow sucks.

Something like that doesn't surprise me, i'm more shocked if it hasn't snowed by that time here.

I can't actually remember if its snowed yet this year? Everything sorta meshes. I know its rained a lot and we've had floods. Any snow this year fellow Scots?

I suppose you would get tired of it living there.
But here where we only get it twice a year. I love it

Cold, wet and I hate driving through it - snow, Bah! I hate it. Unless I'm inside and warm and then it can look pretty outside 🙂

Only in northern sweden. Down south is like a mosquito free zone, but up here, air pretty consits of nitrogen, oxygen and mosquitos.
 
Yes, it's true. Mosquitos and rain during the summer and snow snow snow and no daylight during the winter. People get so depressed from not having sunlight/daylight that they have to go to that light therapy thing.
If you have snow as much as we have here in Norrland (and I live about 400 kilometers north of Umeå where eponinethen and eudial lives so I have snow a little bit longer than they have) you get sick and tired off it eventually unless you're some crazy snow sports person.
I like the summers though.
 
I love snow, but we rarely get it here in Virginia because of the mountains. All we ever get are bitter cold temps and wind. Send me the snow!!!!
 
godhow i HATE snow and moste of all ICE!!!!!! and now it's getting so cold out side.. and it's getting on my nerves.. wish norway was alittle mor esouth at the moment.. like switch places with spain south 😉

SlayersDestiny: i love virgina 😉 where in va do you live? well when i was in Va in jan there was snow.. and the kids that are my boyfs 2nd cusins, they had a snow day... just cause there was like less then an inch w snow LOl we would NEVERE get a snow day.. we'll get sent home from school if it's snow, it has to be 16? celcius in the class room.. then it's home day for us 😉

You're actually learning about Sweden? That's cool, lol. We do have I lot of forests I guess.. And if you live in northern Sweden (more north than I live) the sun is up all the time in the middle of the summer.. But then you never see the sun in the middle of the winter, which is depressing..

I don't agree Norrland is overrated though, cause it seems like everyone hates Norrland and thinks it's only cold and dark, and that's to underrate Norrland since the summers are warm and not at all rain all the time like eudial and doppelgänger say..
 
Yay I love snow!!!! Maybe it's because I live near a mountain. I snowboard and ski. I love it and it's fun!!!! Snow is the best!!! I live in Colorado in the USA. It's very beauful. I live in a small mountain town where everyone knows how to ski and snowboard. My dad owns a ski & snowboarding shop. It get very beautiful here when it snows.
 
well i'm donig geography and for it you need to pick 3 Europena counrties so we picked Italy France and Sweden (One frmo low europe;italy, middle;france and high;sweden) Feel proud you're on the Irish school cirriculum 🙂

if there was one state i would love to live in its colorado.
Als owe are doing the colorado river in geography too. Wow BIG river
Is colorado as cool as its made out to be in everwood.
my only american realitives live in Phoenix, Arizona and they are sick of sand and desert

I now realise from my post above that the schools in ireland need to spend more time on teaching us all how to spell, or type slower on a keyboard 🙂
 
Yah the air is always so clean and it's always so beautiful. I love it here. For about 5 years I lived in Northern Texas and I didn't really like it. The grass was always yellow and the air was always too dry. Then my dad and me moved to Colorado and I love it here!!! About the time I was 11 he opened the ski and snowboarding shop. We lived not far from a ski resort so he always took me there to learn how to ski and snowboard. I'm not that good, but I'm decent at it. I can keep up with the guys that I snowboard with.
