That was it! 'lol' In School Hard him (Snyder) and the cop were talking and instead of saying it was vampires they said it was Gang Related PCP! 🙂
 
That was it..Easy explanation in Sunnydale where most people chose not to see what was going on round them...
 
I think he was maybe hired by the Mayor to run the school because he knew about the supernatural stuff and that Sunnydale was on a Hellmouth. But I don't think he actually worked for the Mayor, in the sence of people like Faith and Mr Trick. I think he was mainly used to come up with convenient cover stories for when things got really bad in Sunnydale.

I don't think he actually knew that Buffy was the Slayer, but I think he suspected.
 
I think he knew about the Hellmouth, how could you not... But I don't think he knew about Buffy, if he did then he wouldn't have been so hard on her..
 
Maybe he was a friend of some vampires? Or maybe he was just an evil principal who was interested in the Hellmouth? *I have a possible math teacher who can go under that category but you change interesed to living and take away -mouth*
