So Far So Good

So I finally took people's (mainly Washburne's) advice and started watching Firefly. I'm half-way through Jaynestown. I can't say I've gotten as hooked as I was with Buffy or Angel, but I am enjoying in quite a lot. My favourite character changes almost every episode. Right now I'm particularly fascinating by River and what exactly is going on with her. I didn't like Zoe at first because of her uncanny resemblance to a certain unnaturally happy, world peace-seeking deity, but I'll admit she's growing on me. I love Wash. He's awesome.

Just gotta say, when I was watching the episode with flashbacks to Simon and River's childhood I was like "ZOMG, it's Zac Efron! LOL". I had to rewind and do a double take to make sure I was right. 😀

And now the more I watch, the sadder I am that it got cancelled. 🙁

Just finished watching Serenity the movie. Loved it. But now it's over and I don't know what to do with myself. I'm devastated Wash was killed. 🙁

Also, Mal seemed a lot colder and harsher towards Simon and River than in the TV episodes, at least in the beginning. How much time was supposed to have elapsed between Objects in Space and the movie?

So happy Simon and Kaylee finally hooked up. 😀
