So...how exactly did Doyle transfer the visions to Angel?

I'm doing an Angel re-watch and I was watching Birthday and Wesley's telling Cordy how Angel received the visions from Doyle because obviously Cordy wasn't around to get them but...she got them when she and Doyle kissed. Then she gets them from Angel when she kisses him, so did Angel and Doyle kiss? Haha idk why this just occurred to me. If they didn't kiss, how the hell else did he get them?

Hey, with the way Doyle went out in "Hero", I might have kissed him too lol
It's fair to say that Angel wasn't likely to have a moment of true happiness with Doyle, and a little fun between two consenting adults is good for the soul 😉

Hahah agreed 😉 that would have been a much more interesting episode. If I ever meet Joss, I'm definitely asking him about this. I mean this is valid information that we need to know!

Sorry guys, not buying it. The Powers probably found another way. I mean, how else did Doyle get them in the first place. Who kissed him? And who kissed that person?

But it is nice to think about.

I think some people get them naturally... like doyle... I don't think he had to kiss someone to get them. Also, didn't Skip/Jasmine orchestrate this paralell universe, maybe they just made it seem like angel had the visions so that the story would end with Cordy getting them back, and thus agreeing to become part demonised???

Makes sense.

Exactly. That world was clearly fake and just a setup for Cordy getting duped
Am I missing something here?
Doyle had the visions.
Doyle gave the visions to Cordy.
Angel 'borrowed' the vision. (after all Angel is a vampire, and a vampire is a demon).
Cordy was made part demon, so the visions wouldn't kill her, by Skip (who was working for Jasmine).
As far as I'm concerned, that was Joss's version of the Dallas thing, where the last two seasons were just that Ewing blokes dream.

They are talking about the alternate life where Cordy never ran into Angel in LA leaving Angel to receive the visions when Doyle died

As Xin Rong said, the parrallel universe bit.
Or that which didn't really happen. That being so, refer to the Joss version of the Ewing dream scenario.
