I only have two classes on Wednesdays (well, until October 18th, then I start math) and none of the "textbooks" for either class are actual textbooks, and they're not very big, but I have so many of them that they won't all fit in my backpack. I don't have to take the books to class, but I like having them there in case someone brings up something I missed in the discussion. So I always have to decide which books I want to bring to class, and every Tuesday night I sit here for the longest time thinking about which books might be best for tomorrow. And I love my classes, but seriously, blah.

And now I want to hear you complain about school, if you...go there...so I don't feel like a whiny jerk. Even if you're not in school, complaints from the past are fine too.

ok i'll give my share....lets see, my history classes textbook is about 8 x 11 or something like that, and we need to take it home for home work and bring it back every day for class, and we have to carry also about a two inch binder, some spiral notebooks and like anything else that would go in your back pack, reading book etc.
well last summer they spent about 1 million dollars fixing up the football field make it some type of turf thing instead of grass, and things around the field that really didnt need fixing, but the wont buy one class set of books, geesh

ok i complained, who's next

Aaaghh, AstroTurf?! I hate AstroTurf. My high school had a muddy, nasty field but I went to PE summer school at a school with an AstroTurf field. It scratches the hell out of your skin if you fall on it.

I'm a graduate student of English, and I have to carry around a backpack and a largish shoulder bag to keep all of my stuff with me. Not only do I have my computer, but today (for example) I have all of the stuff that goes with the survey I'm running for my Master's thesis, a big fat hardbound anthology, my Linguistics book, my random-catch-all folder, my planner, and three trade paperback books (one for reading, two for classes). Then there's my batteries and AC adapter for my computer and my survival stuff (wallet, keys, moisturizer, chapstick, etc.).

Just to give you all some sense of what college will be like. : popcorn:

I had to take a semester off because the school messed up my schedule and my finacial aid. I didnt find out till I came back from vacation and by then it was too late. Now I have to wait till January to go back. 🙁

Ahhh highschool years... ok so it has only been 2 years ago lol

I used to hate wednesdays because my timetable had me down for 3 periods of art in the morning... from 7:55 then 2 periods of maths in between lunch and recess (lunch cut down by 10 mins) to fit in 3 periods of ancient history in the arvo that went to 3.

Mind you it wasn't all bad becuase wednesday was packed i got to go home on friday at 11. (I love free periods)

Now i'm in collage... sure i go from 9 to 7 sometimes but its much better... room to be free lol

So I just started a new math class today.
The cool thing is, we do all our homework on the internet, so we never have to turn anything in because my teacher is able to see we've done it once it's complete.
The bad part is, the plugins won't work with Firefox, or Macs.
I totally deleted Internet Explorer off my computer as soon as I installed Firefox on this one, and I just had to download it again.
And all the students who have Macs have to go to the computer lab or find another PC they can use.
Eff.

My college sucks rocks, I started in September doing Graphic Design. Thinking 'Yey, Now im doing something I want to do college will be awesome!' But oh no I descover that we don't get to touch a computer till second year, and first year is basically drawing.

But what really makes it bad is everyone I know in college, has like 12/14 hours a week, or a few hours a day with at least 1 day off.

Mine - 40 Hours a Week!! 9-5 every day, It's so depressing!

Man, I had this huge Biology ACCP test today and I swear I felt like I was studying for a final it was so intense I hate MACROMOLECULES! So there is my little rant.

My philosophy teacher drives me insane.

Seriously. This guy is completely full of himself. He's maybe just out of grad school - late twenties, tops. And since he's a new teacher, he won't bring anything up about his personal life. He's like a walking robot who blathers on about Kant and Aristotle. Seriously.

He thinks we're all stupid. Someone in class brought up the Allegory of the Cave, and the teacher guy was all, "Oh, you guys wouldn't know anything about that." IT WAS IN THE READING, DUMBASS. Come. ON.

He also can't answer his e-mails, either. ARGH.

So, that's my rant.
