and the Angel episode that went with it, not sure of the name, sorry. It was so heartbreaking!! UGH!! I'm so sad that Buffy won't get to remember her few hours of feeling like a "normal" girl.

Pangs is one of my favorite episodes.
The ultimate Bangel ep! It's almost like torture watching it knowing how it ends but that scene of them in his apartment when 'there isn't enough time' it's just TOO good that you can't NOT watch it.

we have a ship of hurt and drama!
I Will Remember You is the Angel episode right? It breaks my heart everytime. To be so close to it and never have it? And poor Angel remembers it all. I always cry when Buffy keeps repeating 'I'll never forget' as the minute counts down. .::sob::.

Yes, that's the name of the Angel episode, thanks 🙂 Thinking of it again is making me tear up geez. When she knows she only has a minute left. So close, but it's just not meant to be.

though I'm sure everyone here knows my feelings about the entire Angel/Buffy relationship, this one never fails to leave a distinct lump in my throat when Buffy whimpers, "No, that's too soon..." Gets me every time I see it.

Oo! I bangel admission? Awesome ;)
Bangel is not really my favorite ship either, but this epoisode always gets me. It's like impossible not to cry at the end when Buffy starts to cry, I dont know, I can just feel all her emotional pain. Their relationship was always doomed, but never before did saying goodbye feel so sad.

Not you too?

I'm not a huge fan of this episode(I Will Remember You not Pangs - I love Pangs!!!) because I think it so overrated.
Angel annoys me to high heaven.
How many humans help Buffy fight on a daily basis with no superpowers no to mention those that help Angel?
He only met the PTB that day and took their word for it?
Though actual physical strength plays a part in hand to hand combat, surely the success of Riley, Wes, Gunn, Xander and Giles shows it is also about skill too.

No, Angel was happy for a while to have his cake and eat but he likes his superpowers.
Unlike Spike who wholeheartedly admits to liking being a vampire because of the perks, Angel goes on the pretense that he is being noble and seeking redemption.

I say bah to him in this episode.

I'm just a sucker for the tragic star crossed lovers theme, regardless of who they are, though I must agree, Angel's "protect Buffy" reasoning was more ego trip than concern.
I've never seen I Will Remember You, but Pangs is...I love Pangs, not 'cause of the Bangel-ness [Grrr, Does NO ONE love Spuffy these days? 😛] um, I actually don't know why I love it, it's just cool 🙂

I always thought about that too.... Buffy was really the only Scooby with the superpowers, well through the first 3 seasons at least.... the rest of the Scoobies survived without their not so superpowers and skills.... i dunno, confusing lol

Its not pointless if you've watched the Angel episode that precedes it!! 😛

Angel episode is follow up, not preceding one.

EDIT: Now that i thought about it more then yes there was about 10 sec buildup about it in preceding one, the episode everyone here referring about in Angel is followup so that got me to jump the gun.

In the Angel episode preceding 'Pangs' (if you watch them in that order) called 'Bachelor Party' Doyle has a vision right at the very end; a vision of Buffy in danger, which is the 'point' of Angel's appearance in Sunnydale.

I loved these episodes!! I'm a huge bangel fan and cry everytime!!

I think I'll have to disagree with everyone saying that Angel wanted his superpowers more than Buffy and that because humans have survived with Buffy for 4 years (at the time) Angel would have been the same. Dont get me wrong, I was wishing the same thing, saything that if Xander and then Riley at a later date could be in Buffy's world then so could Angel. But Angel's destiny, like Buffy's was to save people and Angel couldn't do that on his own as a human. Could anyone really imagine Xander going off to start his own Scoobie group without someone who possessed superhuman strength. It just wouldnt work 🙁

Pangs is ok, not great but still good enough. If it wasn't for Spikes being funny it would be ranked low by me. But IWRY? Gggggrrr. Angel really annoyed me in this. Am i the only one that noticed just how stupid and selfish Angel was at the end? The bit where Buffys crying? Typical Angel though.

I agree that Spike was hillarious in Pangs. His ''You made a bear!! Undo it, undo it!!'' scene was hillarious!!
