So IDS has gone

Ian Duncan Smith has been kicked out of the Conservative Party well not kicked out just not leader anymore he has to resign
 
I don't know much about the British situation, but the word conservatives says enough ... even though Blair's a liar and a cheater, I'd much rather have him and Labour runing the country then any conservative.

personally i hope the lib dems get in but their to left wing for most people on the street.

the current conservative and Labour lot seem as bad as each other, but we need to get blair and that out of power before they make us part of some european super state with out even bothering to ask us!
 
Yea Faldor. The New Labour/Conservative axis reminds me very much of Democrats/Republicans in the US. Would you like your government to be right wing or very right wing, sir? Wotta choice, eh? 🙁
Although I'm warming to the idea of a US of Europe - provided we get the good things about France, Germany, Holland, Sweden etc. and lose the bad things about the UK 😉
 
I might vote for something really random like the Green party, but then their never going to get elected so that would be a waste of a vote. I'd still vote conservative, because i'm more right wing can't help it, just the way i was raised. And no, i'm not a middle class person.
 
The problem is you only have two wrongs to pick from, either the Conservatives or Labour, just like in the US, either Democrats or Republicans ... if you choose to accept Europe, you may get to choose from a lot of different evil groups of politicians!

The idea of a Europe is very good, economically speaking ... but if the people like Berlusconi and Chirac still try to run it ... well then we're screwed ... then again, look at the superstate the US, it's ran by Bush for crying out loud!
 
Allycat - i dont know enough about joining europe would do for the econemy and other such things so im not in a good place to comment. but i know im british NOT european. i dont have anything against you guys. but its not who i am. but thats another topic...

my point is this:

Blair wants Britain to join europe with out giving the British people a Vote on the matter.

if thats not being a dictator what is!
 
Yes, i totally agree with Faldor on this, the public want a referendum but i doubt he'll ever give us one because he knows what the outcome would be. I personally find him a tit, and want him out so badly, he's failed to, live up to his promises just look at the railways, hospitals, and university fee situation. Tut tut Mr Blair shame on you.
