It was god damn legendary! So much to fangirl about, but I'll try and wrap it up quickly.

- James Marsters Seminar was fantastic, he really is a great public speaker. He did a Shakespeare monologue which was cool. Also Perth showed its true class when one woman said 'my husband couldn't make it today, after I saw you yesterday I tired him out and he's to sore to move'. Gold. He had a laugh about it and the crowd laughed to.

- When I got my signature off James he was talking to the guy in front of me and the guy said something like 'your arm must be sore from all this signing' and James said 'nahh over the years I've built up a good muscle in my arm' and I replied with 'suuure James, but we know it's not from the signatures' or something to that effect. James smirked his gorgeous smirk and his handler thought it was awesome and said 'I'm glad someone picked up on that!' Hahaha, I totally referenced masturbating to James Marsters face.

- Amy Acker has gone an awesome shade of blonde and she was looking simply stunning. She was so warm and friendly and I'm totally girl crushing on her. I couldn't believe how lovely she was to every single person that wanted to see her and I was just so impressed. Also - she told me she likes my dress and we had girly chats about her going blonde and what Joss's reaction was like when she told him that she was going to Australia and had gone blonde. Amazing woman. I want to be her friend and have girly chats with her forever.

- Totally missed my Amy Acker photo despite having paid for it. I was so bummed out 🙁 but Amy was so lovely that I didn't really want her to have to come down for me since I was the idiot that lost my shot 🙁

- JAMES PHOTO - He seemed to be in a much better mood when it was time for photos and despite the GIANT que was in quite good spirits. He held me pretty close and our faces were touching *swoon* Nice guy, but I could tell he was pretty much over it and next time I go to a convention I will definitely make sure I go on the first day so everyone isn't completely tired.

And yes - there will DEFINITELY be photos to come 🙂

Good to hear that James is still just as good a speaker and signer as when I saw him about 8 years ago- when I met him, he'd done a weekend convention and then on the Monday did another signing at my local sci fi/fantasy shop (so I knew I didn't have to worry about getting anything signed at the convention!). Come the day in Leeds, I think I must have made it to the shop about three hours ahead of time to see if people had already started waiting (they had) so after grabbing something to eat and drink I joined the line and didn't have to wait too long...but he was signing for a good 3-4 hours that day after a demanding convention, where I believe the hotel had had to provide ice buckets for his signing hand.

They don't have signings at that shop any more- the previous visitor had been Amber Benson, who was very chatty but there were a lot of women in couples getting things signed to both of them at the same time. I still have the photos on my wall, but kind of dropped out of conventions and signings a year or two after that.

It was a great day. Caits covered it all, except to say that Sean Maher was f**king HOT! We only saw him from a few metres away, but man, he made my heart skip a few beats!

All of my photos were blurry beyond recognition. My hands were shaking too much to get any good ones, sorry! But Cait did get me a photo with James - thanks heaps!

Tons of fun and defo worth the trip into town. Cant wait to see who is going next year!
 
Wow, sounds like so much fun! And I'm always jealous when one BBer gets to meet up with another (I did that in April!). Yes I want to see pictures please!

We had plans yesterday so I totally missed out on seeing Jewel Staite at a local Trek Expo. I thought about going on Saturday just for fun, but I didn't want to pay the money and not get to see her. 🙁

Okay, so I don't have a scanner either, or a decent camera, OR a decent phone camera, so this is the best I can do for you all. The first thing I said when I got the photo was 'arrgghh, I'm pulling a funny face!' I somehow have my tongue pushed against my teeth to make me look odd, but I'm to damn proud of this photo to NOT post it!

I like the way that James's left hand is subtly playing-but-not-quite-playing with the strap of Cait's dress- fiendish wardrobe choice there!

It's probably also his standard expression for having photos taken with women, but in both of them there's a certain sense of a man who's found himself two prime specimens of Australian womanhood and is suddenly wondering where Australia has been all his life.
