I was always curious about the "rape" element when it came to vampire victims. It was certainly implied that the process of turning a human into a vampire was incredibly sexual, and we got some hardcore innuendo that vampires often raped their human victims (or at least it would certainly make sense, since vampires obviously have perhaps even a greater sex drive than humans). I understand that they obviously couldn't have shown that kind of stuff on a network primetime television series, but I thought it would have made for an interesting episode for the Scoobies to deal with the victim of a vampire or demon rape. I don't really count the incident in Seeing Red...

I think that they implied that they raped Drusilla as she was turned. I think. But apart from that and the Gypsy girl, it was never really covered. I just find it funny that they can get away with all that disturbing softcore Ruffy sex, but it took 5 seasons for them to be allowed a gay kiss, and 6 for a rape like situation. It does seem strange that the Fanged 4 constantly drop hints about that kind of thing, but all we see in flashbacks is them walking down streets and stuff.

Well, a vampire draining blood was certainly used as a sexual metaphor throughout the show...and like all the other BTVS metaphors, I'm sure it didn't stay in that "metaphorical realm" at all times, lol.

This reminds me of a scene in "Bargaining Part 2". Do you remember the part where that demon from the demon biker gang is threatening Willow? He says something to the effect of, "Our demon parts rip up little girls" or something to that effect. It's so disturbing...makes me wonder if Buffy hadn't snapped out of it and kicked his ass...if that demon had done something to Willow...what would have happened?

You make a good poing though. The closest we come to seeing this is that episode where we see Angelus having sex with Drusilla...and Spike gets all pissed off(although it looked consensual).
