So, what are your plans during the nuclear exchange?

We all know what's going. North Korea is acting up again, but this time...they just might get nuked. Of course if this happens, China and Russia will probably join the party. Hell, everyone who has nukes might!

Extra sunblock, lip balm, and perhaps Buffy's graduation umbrella. I'm set. How about you?

I was just wondering about this very topic. I see Iran as wanting to get involved if missiles start flying so be sure to have a seat for them at the party. I'm just going to hang out in my basement and hope nothing comes my way. You'll want good wifi and a twitter account to know how trump retaliates.

If I see something flying my way, I might as well sit down outside and watch the sky. Might as well enjoy the view if I'm gonna die either way.
Aren't you up north? This is your chance to laugh at the 80% of us Canadians living within a couple hours of the border, we'll get the follow-out while you enjoy the show from a distance.

I think quite a few of Russia's Nukes are aimed at us.....& we're really not a very big island. So if the Superpowers do start lobbing Nukes around I think anyone in the UK not wearing factor 2million sunblock is in for a really bad day.......

Time to break out the Lead-lined Tweed & have a nice cup of Earl Grey.

Trump should be ok though....he's got that big white Anti-Radiation shield on top of his head & that strange Orange Sunblock.........

Ya I'm up North, but I really don't trust people's aim 😉

I saw on the news that some people are actually buying bomb shelters here. You know, those things that actually weren't designed for anything nuclear...

As bad as a nuclear strike would be, a high altitude detonation, resulting in an electromagnetic pulse, would be far worse. It could literally destroy all of the electronics in North America, both the U S and Canada, resulting in far more deaths than any direct hit. It could wipe out half of our entire population within a year.

So what you're saying is , the earth is most definitely doomed?

No one cares about rural Western Australia, so I'll be fine 😉

My mum used to say that if there was a nuclear war, they'd hit Australia and New Zealand...just for the hell of it. She had friends that moved to Christchurch years ago to avoid any future nuclear crap. True story. 😛

Oh yeah, if anyone wanted to hit Australia, they'd hit Sydney, Melbourne and all the eastern states where all the people are. So the other side of Aust would be up in flames and we'd be sitting here like "Sucks to be you"
(As far as Australian politics go, WA gets the least amount of money, bar Tasmania, out of all of Australia despite we're the ones who pay the most tax. Not to mention we never get any mention on the news if something disastrous happens here) So I'd probably be like "Karma dude"

I'm suddenly afraid of my position right in the middle of America. Maybe I'll get lucky and we will only get hit on the coast before we destroy everyone else because we have the most nukes and the worst political leader imaginable. Although if my area does get blown up I'll just run on top of buildings until I find a school bus to take me to safety. It's a full proof survival plan.

I have a basement....otherwise than that? Unfortunately only time will tell. It's honestly sad that we've come to this state of affairs. I'm in D.C, home of the Orange One. If conventional wisdom is correct, then we should be relatively safe. Or in the alternative, we might not be. We all know that during 9/11, one of the planes crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. A fact I found out later was that another plane was headed straight for the Capitol, about a couple of blocks from where I currently work, but steered off course and landed in a field in Pennsylvania. Honestly, the question of what might happen looms over my head every day it seems. The entire city's been on edge ever since the election. Most outlets say Korea is planning on targeting Guam though. Let's hope, chant and or pray that doesn't come to pass.

This whole thing proves what I've been saying all along: Trump and Jong Un are little kids with too much power in their hands.

It's a sad state of affairs that this is my 1500th post 🙁

This reminds me of an old, very depressing, movie called "On The Beach," starring Gregory Peck. Post WW3, and all of civilization was wiped out by either nuclear bombs directly or their fallout except for Australia, and they were just waiting helplessly for the radioactive clouds to roll over them. Very depressing movie.

And whatever radioactive monsters come from the sea
If there's an EMP and no bomb here, then I'm packing up and going to my mother's, she has fruit trees, berries and nut trees, and lots of land to grow veggies, a wood burner fire, so I would be okay for a while out there, but preferably she would have finished doing the place up first as the kitchen is a bit of a building site!

If I get a heads up that a nuke is heading to the UK then I'll be driving directly towards it. F*** living in a post nuclear wasteland.
