I gave some people framed sets of some of my photography, bought my brother Stepbrothers on DVD (for which I was carded, haha I was born well before 1991!), a BIG bag of M&Ms, and Silent Hill 2 for his PS2, gave my mom a diamond-y type watch, my sister some wine glasses, an aromatherapy pillow, and my dad a GPS for his car.

I got: The Dark Knight, a scarf, an MP3 player, a Barnes and Noble gift card, a Wal-Mart gift card, various grooming products from extended relations and oddest of all from my aunt (who gave me a box of dusty old books with yard sale price stickers still on them last year) - a ticket to heaven.

Yes, you read right. I have a whole orientation package including the ticket, a certificate that I'm advised to frame, a guide, and an I.D. card. At first I wondered if it was a joke. It was not. She thought I needed it.

So, guys, turns out there IS a co. online that sells reservations to heaven for $12. I went to the site - it guarantees you entrance, and if you don't get in they'll give you your money back. What a relief!

Wonder how many mooks actually send these people money?

I guess the only thing worse than receiving the implication that I'm not going to heaven on my own via this ticket is receiving a ticket to hell - which this company also makes reservations for. Then again, my aunt felt $12 was needed to spare my immortal soul otherwise......

It's actually funny that it wasn't meant to be funny. I mean how many people get a ticket to heaven?

I know I got a lot more than I gave this year, but money is tight with school and all, and my fanily totally understands, which is good. Also I'm not quite done shopping, among other things I still have to buy for a best friend from home, but she moved across the country so I have time to mail things to her.
The down comforter was the only thing I asked for this year, I was planning on keeping it simple, but that didn't end up happening. As you might have noticed, what with the hot chocolate, blanket, coffee mug, and winter gear, I'm always cold.

And for you who don´t know but still cares/wonder. We stopped giving gifts in my family last year. Now we collect money and give to charity instead. We both got enough things as it is and are old enough for not "needing" gifts (can still be fun to get of course) so it feels better to give instead.
