So what if Willow died?

i think Tara would have...
i always thought Tara held back her powers (shown when Willow was getting to reliable on magic)
she never did anything BIG for me, therefor, yes, she would have killed the world and no matter how many Xanders were there, she would have done it

I think that's completely wrong! Tara was different to Willow, she was not as powerful as Willow and it was shown in the show. Tara i don't think would have gone evil, she respects the laws of nature and the rules of magic too much to do anything like what Willow did!!

And on a more personally level, i'd be destroyed if they had killed off Willow...it's too painful to even think about it 🙁

I actually think Tara would turn evil. Joss has that way of surprising us, and since Tara is probably the nicest and most sincere character in the Buffyverse, turning her evil would be a fantastic twist.
 
OMG if both Tara and Buffy died i don't think they'd have been able to get Willow back...she'd have past the line she could not cross.... 🙁

If Willow and Buffy died...i still don't think Tara would have gone all black haired and veiny like Willow. She respected the laws of both nature and magic much more then Willow did. Plus i don't think Willow would have gone Evil if she hadn't been struggling with her addiction to the magics...with the death of Tara she just kind of went of the deep end.
 
Hmm I disagree.
I know Tara was all about respecting the laws of nature, but I just don't think you can predict how one would react in a situation like that... seeing the one thing you love most die in front of you. I'm not sure if she'd go black haired and apocalyptic though I think she would be out for blood. I think her motherly earthy wiccan principles, along with any reason or rationality would be thrown out the window as grief and anger take over.
Wouldn't it be similar to the scenario in Tough Love, when Spike was explaining to Buffy that it doesn't really matter what the details are, hell god or no...etc, But if someone hurt the thing you want most you would do everything in your power to get your own back.
I know Tara never displayed power like Willow has, however she would make quite the formidable foe. I certainly wouldn't want to mess with her!
