Social Groups - member help request

We're testing out a possible upcoming board function which may be used by BB.

Would anybody like to help? Try this link...

What happens. What do you see? What can you do? Feel free to click around, join anywhere you can, or post at anything you can find.

If that doesn't work, try going into your User CP, and click Social Groups if you see it. Anything now?

I got a "Not Logged In, No Permission to Access" message. I'll try the other way and let you know what happens.

So I logged in on that page and got a list of "Experimental" social groups. I joined the Public Social Group and posted. 😀

Had to login which wasn't a burden, and got the list of experimental groups.

On the one listed as Public you should be able to click 'join group', and post inside if you want. The others shouldn't work without an invite, so if you do find a way to enter them could you tell me?

okay. i gave it a shot 🙂.

i got that 'no permission' page BB mentioned. i logged in. i got these social groups on a page:

Public Social Group (experimental)
An experimental group checking to see if members can post without an invitation, or edit functions.

A Group to check the option 'Moderated'

clicked on the public group. joined the public group. posted in the public group.

should i do anything else, or did BB help enough already and im just late? :silly:

Tried all of them, was able to join and post in the first one. Hope it helps!

Let's try one more thing. I've just added a restriction where users must join to gain admittance into what was the public group, but is now the volunteers group.

Not sure if you still need feedback or not but I clicked your link, logged in and tried all the groups and they all say they are by invitation only even the "Public" one, so wasn't able to get into any of them.

Ok Airam thanks. I'll send you an invite, then I'll close this thread. We're good for volunteers now, I think.

The other volunteers should already be signed up without an invite. If not though, not to worry, I'll figure it out, and re-invite you. Watch for an invite into the Volunteers group if you have problems getting in.
