Some mix ups with Buffy's Birthdate

So I'v always belived buffy was born in 1981
from the gift where you see it on her grave stone heres a pic

And just now i was watching I ,Robot...You,Jane season 1
and look what i found.

Also in nightmares here is her gravestone.

As you can also see G.P.A also changes and her Stautus from senior to sophmore.

I just thought id point this out, see if anyone else noticed, im going to see if i can find some other things regarding her DOB XX

What's G.P.A.? And in what way dos it change? Because it's 2.8 on both screen.

And the other stuff...well I noticed the birthay date, but I always just figured that was because people didn't think too much about details like that as this was only supposed to be a replacement show.

Just for the fun of it (yes, I´m a little bit bored and lazy. Don´t wanna google) I´ll take a wild guess. Grad-someting Point Average. But I don´t see it change either.

Yeah i looked at the GPA'S just now again and noticed they didnt change, lol xx

2.8 is like a B+ average.
 
Human error, the people who enter data are deeply stupid like the police. I'd say her grave is probably the most accurate. Also the actual date of her birthday would be like near Christmas? I mean it's always around episode 12/13 and the show starts in like June right?

HOWEVER, Amends, which we know is a Christmas time episode is 2 episodes before Helpless which we know is around the time of her 18th Birthday.
If episode is a week, then based purely on this, which I find reasonable, her birthday would be early to mid January.

yeah i also found the whole date changed interesting and if you watch IRYJ and when the data base is scanning pics of buffy come up about 5-6 times before they bring it up.

There is a difference between pointing out that this has been discussed at length in the past and telling someone they shouldn't discuss it again.

What basis do you have for a Spring or Autumn birthday?
Is that based on when you've seen the show because there is nothing within the text itself that would suggest this.

Im trying to remmber something from a ep, but when you look at the seroundings like, its eather spring weather e.g the blosom ect on trees or its autum e.g becuase in a bday ep the leaves were falling off the tree's but i can't 100% remmber what one it was. do you see my point? lol
And no i was saying about how talking about somthing again in detail, newbies might have differnt views and opions on it and disscucing it agian can have benifits.

You have to remember that episodes that are shown aren't filmed in the same week but a little bit in advance.
Plus you have to take into account the area the episodes are set and how the foliage is around times.
These are all variables.

The best piece of evidence for her birthday is the Amends/Helpless episode as those give you a definite time/seasonal reference of Amends that does correlate with the rough dates of her birthday on screen.

Yeah i totaly agree, but when you do notice the soundings for her bday on all her bdays there kinda the same weather ect soo thats how i figered it out lol, but i do get what your saying. x
 
Also remember how she mentions being a Capricorn to Riley in some S4 episode - so her birthday must be in late December or early-to-mid January. Both IRYJ dates are nonsense.
 
hollybuffyfan, one thing you have to remember is that she lives in Southern California, outside of Los Angeles. The weather looks a lot different in LA than it does elsewhere (I've lived in Dallas, TX, Western PA, and Western Maine mountains, plus spent a lot of time in Williamsburg and other areas 😉).

For instance, it's mid-January now... there are some leaves on the trees, and some leaves falling, etc. One of my thoughts walking down a street here in the Valley was that it looked kinda like fall in other places I've been. I could even go out and take some pictures of what it looks like now, if you want to see... 😉 My point is, December/January weather doesn't usually look like Amends. For instance, it's the 16 of January, 9:39AM, and it's 72° outside. 😉

Yeah i get that yeah lol, its just my opion lol but hey everyone lives in there own world in buffy everyone has there own opions on buffy and stuff lol x
